A little gem

We spent a relaxing week in late September in this beautiful farm.
The room (pomegranate) is huge, the cleanliness excellent, the quality of sleep fantastic for both mattress and pillows, courtesy set very fragrant, no TV .
Exterior with chairs , coffee table , deckchairs and clothesline very useful .
Strong point is definitely the kitchen: in the morning I counted at least 6/7 types of homemade cakes, yogurt, juices, savory part with cheeses and cold cuts, the best cappuccino I've ever found on vacation.
At dinner we were literally pampered by Stefania and Emanuele with succulent but light dishes of the Apulian tradition.
The structure is beautiful , there is also a very well maintained swimming pool , the whole complex surrounded by a huge garden with lush plants and all housing solutions overlook it with pretty courtyard. There is a convenient parking.

Dinner at Limbitello

I would like to reply to Mr. Jacopo , we stayed 3 times at Masseria Limbitello and we always dined in the structure, we NEVER ate leftovers or frozen things even out of season. The food is the result of the daily processing of vegetables picked in the garden, perhaps for this reason it is not used to the taste of freshly picked natural things but rather of vegetables from the supermarket.

Nice place but you can also close the kitchen.

Nothing to say on the spot. The rooms are clean and the setting is very nice. One evening, however, we were tired and decided to stay for dinner in the structure. Simply terrible: the appetizer was made with the leftovers of the main courses and some frozen vegetables, we did not take the first, second we paid 7 euros for the mussels au gratin where there was nothing of gratin, they were only drowned by breadcrumbs. Ah I forgot, the plate was 7 mussels number, so I paid 1 euro each.
Then the grand finale: frise with cherry tomatoes cut 5 minutes before, all without salt.
We asked for cheeses but nn were available. The choice of desserts was limited because in September they tend to nn order anything anymore.
With a 25 euro bottle we spent 80 euros in two. I would have eaten better in a bar.

HEAVENLY!

Wow we had some of the best few days you could imagine at Limbitello. It’s extremely gorgeous, relaxing, clean and peaceful. From the beautiful fruit trees to the gorgeous landscape, we loved just wandering and resting. The pool is PERFECTION and was often just a few other groups there, it was hard to tear ourselves away. The breakfast was luxurious, sitting outside with perfect coffee, lavender cake and delicious home grown fruit looking over the olive trees. The staff is super helpful especially Serena. You are MINUTES from the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen as well as close to Lecce and Otranto for exploring. We would ride the bikes through the olive groves and along the coast to stunning views before a dip in the pool and some lunch. Dinner was delicious and such a relaxing experience. I do wish they mixed up the menu a bit more and we didn’t love their house wines but it feels silly to complain when it was all so great. We are already scheming to come back.
