WONDERFUL!
There is no better place to enjoy the lake area, particularly Lake Como. The dock is 20 meters from the hotel, and instead of visiting the little towns by car with the resulting traffic problems and parking difficulties, we made our visits by taking the boat right there. The room was beautiful and the service was stellar in all areas. If you are lucky enough to get a room with a terrace, it is the ultimate experience.
When I return to Como, this will be the hotel to choose.

Gorgeous views
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel right on the water. The staff was friendly and the accommodations were comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each day and enjoyed dinner in the restaurant our first night. The location is perfect for guests who want a less touristy area than Bellagio. The issue we ran into was transportation wasn’t as accommodating as expected. Although the ferry was right outside our window, we were unable to make an excursion as we wouldn’t have arrived in time due to ferry times. This was no fault of the hotel - I had assumed that transportation would’ve been more accessible. One of our most memorable dinners while in town was at a Michelin star restaurant within walking distance to the hotel.

Nice place with nice people
We had a reservation for this hotel but ultimately we could not go by the emergency room of an immediate family member the afternoon before our flight. The hotel understood the situation and very kindly offered us the possibility to come back in November and keep our room overlooking the lake as we had it. We are very happy because we can finally visit this wonderful area and stay at this hotel. When we go I will write again our impressions about the place but it sure is a dream site. What makes a place and an experience valuable are the people and we are sure we have chosen this place.

Zero help, zero kindness
After making a reservation my sister got sick and we couldn’t come - we ask immediately to change our reservation for convenient for the hotel dates but they didn’t care at all. Zero help. We didn’t come but we payed a lot for nothing. Someone could have a great time there at the moment. Two empty rooms in the middle of season when someone would book it for sure (it was fully booked).

An Absolute GEM on Lake Como!!
This hotel was a highlight of our trip and an absolute GEM. A small boutique hotel nestled right on the lake in the small town of Torno.
First, if you are visiting Lake Como in the summer choose your town where you are staying wisely. The town of Como and some of the other areas such as Bellagio are so beautiful but also completely over capacity with tourists. I was so grateful for the small town vibe we had in Torno. If you want a quieter experience at night and to escape the hustle and bustle of Lake Como summer tourism, staying here is the MOVE. The ferry is steps away from the hotel and we were still able to visit all the other parts of the lake during the day, which we did.
At night however, the ferries do not run so it's really just easier to stay close to your hotel. For us, we loved this, and we ate at the restaurant at Il Belvedere Torno three nights in a row. The restaurant has the most beautiful views of the lake and the food was excellent. We also loved the staff at the restaurant and they made us feel like every night was a special experience. There are also 2 other restaurants for dinner in the same square at the hotel and some about 10 minutes away by foot.
The room we stayed in (Double Room with terrace) was immaculately clean, as was the entire hotel. We had a private terrace area to ourselves that opened up to an area that was available to all guests. We sat out there every evening with a drink overlooking the lake. It was so quiet, serene, and one of my favorite parts of our trip.
The staff of the entire hotel was accommodating, friendly, and helpful. We wanted for nothing during our stay and anything we could need was a short phone call away. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Staying here made us feel like we had a luxury experience without a 5 star luxury price tag. Would stay here 100 times over- it completely made our trip to Lake Como!
