A nice splurge for our trip. We did the half board...breakfast and dinner which turned out what we needed as there weren't restaurants near by. Felt high end and traditional so a nice experience but our Western pallet was ready to move on. 2 nights was perfect. Loved the private bath on our balcony.

Comfy bedding. Dinner wasn’t too bad however child meal was bit boring and we ordered another meal for kid. Overall was good hotel to stay.

Mizunoto, was amazing! Great stay with a great atmosphere, amazing food and great onsens to try! 3 private onsens are first come firsts serve, but there are public ones as well to use! Great experience overall!

Cool and interesting place to stay, but I couldn’t get past the fact that the whole place smelled like sewage (bidet odor), especially near the restaurant..pretty off-putting. The bathroom in our room had the same issue. For what they charge, they should really invest in some air purifiers.
Dinner service was nice and we enjoyed the private onsen on our balcony. They advertise free Yakult, but we couldn’t find it anywhere. When we asked staff, they just told us to go to 7-Eleven. They did have complimentary ice cream, tea, milk, and free (if mediocre) ramen at 10:30 PM. There’s also a vending machine with lemon sours and beer for ¥200, which was a better deal than the overpriced craft beer we ordered through room service.
A lot of loud guests took away from the zen atmosphere too. Overall, the traditional room and dinner were great, but I wouldn’t recommend this place.

This is a beautiful and peaceful property. The hotel has a shuttle from the station so contact them in order to make your travels easier.
