On the plus side, the cottage we stayed at was spacious and well-equipped. Unfortunately walls are paper-thin and there's no blinds/curtains in the main room (the big top window) which isnt great in a country like jpn where the sun rises at 4-5am for most of the year.

The staff have been very friendly and helpful both times I’ve stayed, the beds are the most comfortable I’ve ever had at a hotel, and the location is lovely. It’s better to bring food with you as there is not much to eat around if you don’t have a car, and the taxi to/from Ugata station is about 2000 yen. The pool is a perfect depth for small children. Love the old fashioned bathtub but children and the elderly might need some help getting in and out. We will definitely be coming back!

Very big place and nice house. Worth the price if you are driving.

Just amazing. Everything is amazing.
Customer service was superb 100%
Rooms are neat.
The photos here don’t bring justice to this place. It’s worth every penny. There’s a pool, too. We stayed with our 4 year old son. They allowed us to borrow some toys and game boards. There’s also bbq grill for rent.
The beds were neatly arranged. Kitchen was equipped with utensils. I want to go back here again.
