Human touch needs ls a step up

Hotel is brand new, very well set up with separated WC from shower and sink area, typical of many Japan hotels. Bed and pillows are comfortable. However impression was spolit when greeted by statues who did nothing to help 2 girls with their numerous luggages; a guy looking like a manager and his frontdesk staff both, no guests to serve and yet they decided to literally look on versus lifting a finger. This was appalling for me; if you want to work in hospitality but are too proud....Front desk had no one but it was insisted we use a check in machine rather than the warmth of a person is again beyond me. They have the practice of asking guests to put thrash at door, unslightly to be greeted by bags of thrash on the floor stepping out in the morning. Overall, humans and processess have a way to go but hotel is nice.

room is big and clean, staff is polite and helpful, utensils and amenities are provided adequately. the washing machine is easy to use but a bit noisy, if you run it at night, it may disturb sleep. hotel location is convenient and is just a few min walk from ueno station.

Cool and comfortable home base for exploring Tokyo

We are currently staying at the Tabi Ueno - what a gorgeous hotel! Room is large and beautifully laid out. Kitchenette and wager/dryer are very handy. Impeccably clean. Beds are firm but comfortable. Close to Ueno Station and Ueno Park and around the corner from the 7/11 (which turned to be quite handy for us jet-lagged and hungry Canadians craving midnight snacks.). Front desk service was good - they were very helpful when shipping our bags via Takyubin to our next destination. Neighborhood is pretty quiet… very few cars. A perfect base from which to explore Tokyo!

We had a wonderful stay at TABI Ueno. The location was perfect and easy to navigate. The food options in the area were fantastic and the hotel and staff were very clean and lovely.

Good for family trip

Prime location, very calm and homey ambiance, room is very clean including toilet and shower. Kitchen utensils are complete and clean. Staffs are helpful, we can keep our luggage after checkout. Note that cleaning is done after 3 days of stay. Overall a very pleasant experience and would definitely come back.
