Medina Palms and Roy Watamu: unforgettable experience.
We were in Kenya, specifically in Watamu, from July 6 to July 15, and we spent a vacation that we will always carry in our hearts.
We stayed at this resort and we can say that we experienced 9 days of pure relaxation. The property is welcoming, well-maintained, and immersed in a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for taking a break from the routine. A special thanks goes to all the staff, always smiling, kind, and helpful, ready to satisfy every need. The cuisine also won us over, thanks to a rich, varied, and high-quality menu, capable of satisfying all tastes.
As for the excursions, we relied on Roy Watamu and we could not have made a better choice. In addition to demonstrating great professionalism, competence, and friendliness, he let us live authentic experiences that made this vacation even more special. The safari was simply unforgettable: just to allow us to see the king of the savanna, the lion, he extended the excursion well beyond the scheduled time. A gesture that demonstrates all his passion and dedication.
All the other excursions were also extraordinary and made us discover the true essence of Africa, among breathtaking landscapes, pristine nature, and wonderful people.
We highly recommend both this resort and Roy Watamu to anyone who wants to live an authentic, relaxing, and emotion-filled experience.

Beautiful hotel in Watamu.
The Medina Palms is a beautiful hotel with very large rooms and a private kitchen inside. The pool area consists of two larger pools that are connected by a "canal." The food at the hotel tastes very good. The only downside is that the internet connection at the pool is relatively poor. In the room, this works excellently.

Beautiful resort with spacious suites and a lovely atmosphere
Medina Palms is a beautiful resort with a very well-kept and attractive setting. Our suite was enormous – almost big enough to get lost in – very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The pool area was lovely and we really enjoyed spending time there.
Unfortunately, during our stay there was a lot of seaweed on the beach, so swimming in the sea was not really possible. This was of course seasonal and not something the hotel could influence.
Breakfast offered a very good variety. We especially liked the different choices at the egg station, as well as the cakes, porridge, fresh fruit and many other options. Most of the staff around the resort were extremely friendly and helpful, although the service at breakfast (inside, not outside) felt a little less welcoming compared with the rest of the hotel.
The reception team was very helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed a lovely spa treatment, and the hotel also organised a whale-watching excursion for us, which was arranged easily and without any complications.
One thing should be improved: the Wi-Fi was unfortunately unreliable and did not work well in all areas of the resort, including parts of our suite.
Overall, Medina Palms is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay in Watamu, with spacious accommodation, a wonderful pool area and very helpful staff.

Nice, but it is absolutely not a 5-star hotel
We stayed for ten days. The property is beautiful, the staff is very kind, smiling, and friendly. The sea does not allow for swimming, but we knew this. We had dinner 3 times à la carte and, even though the menu was always the same, we ate well. We stopped for brunch and an aperitif at the beach bar and we liked it a lot. Why only two stars? For two reasons. The first is the cleanliness. They were very superficial. They forgot the towels 3 times. Another time, the shower soap was missing. I dropped my dental floss on the first day in the bathroom next to the trash can, and I found it there every day. Because of the hair gel, the pillowcase got dirty and was never changed. The second is breakfast: poor, little choice, and low quality, and absolutely not up to a 5-star standard.

Live Kenya with strawberry
We stayed at Medina Palms and went on a 5-day safari with DISCOVERY with STRAWBERRY.
Everything was excellent, our guide Rafiki was friendly, knowledgeable, and we managed to see many animals.
Everyone was super helpful and kind.
Highly recommended experience.
