Love the location!

Hotel Tonala is right off 'El Jardin'. That means when the shopping is done you have the evening to wander with the locals. Great tacos and desserts with a lot of people watching thrown in!
The hotel is clean and nicely laid out. Rooms are small, beds are a bit hard but we like it! A good choice for Tonala.

Economical

We have stayed here twice now and for 340 pesos you can't go wrong. The Plaza is just around the corner with good street food. Also, there is a great pizza shop next door. Add secure parking a couple blocks away, clean small rooms, close shopping, and this place is a winner.

Not Located 4.7miles from Tonala Center

Since one could throw a tennis ball from the front entrance to the Center Plaza, it is very misleading to say it is located 4.7 miles away! The pin on the map is totally wrong. To my knowledge, the Hotel Tonala is the closest to the City Center.

Location, location,location!

A basic Mexican hotel room with an excellent price in the best location if you are spending time in Tonala. And great owners and staff. It is my home away from home in Tonala to which I return time after time. The food in the nearby zocolo at night is delicious.

Very economical, good value and excellent location.

This is a very basic, clean and comfortable hotel in the heart of Tonala. It has its own, nearby, enclosed car park. The rooms and bathrooms are small but adequate. It is very convenient for shopping and is just a stones throw from the colourful and vibrant main square, market and food stalls. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Sure, there are nicer hotels in Tonala but not at this price and superb location. I have stayed there many times in the last 5 years
