Daranur is a wonderful place!

If you are looking for a place that is not only fascinating from an aesthetic point of view but also and above all from a human one... stop here and enjoy the slow life, exchange a few pleasant words with Sol&Ferrán, have an aperitif on the terrace at sunset perhaps lying on the hammock from which you will have a view of all the buildings in the center.
Go out and immediately outside the door you are in the center of the old city, get lost in the alleys and savor every vibration of this enchanting medina.
The photos speak for themselves, the Daranur is a house finely restored with an expert hand, fine details... everyone can see this. Experience it to grasp that something extra that not everyone has.

Comfortable ,relaxing stay .

Perfect place to relax in after exploring the Essaouria medina . We were given such a warm welcome and made to feel very much at home . Room comfortable and well equipped and there is a well stocked kitchen ,fridge and washing machine for travellers wishing to cater for themselves . Roof terrace is perfect with different areas in which to relax in both shade and sunshine. Amazing views over the city and the ocean .
Only downside is that there are a number of very steep stairs for anyone with mobility problems .But you wouldn’t get the perfect view without this !
Would definitely return .

A magical spot... Un lugar mágico...

Daranur is not just an accommodation, it is pure light for people like us who always let life to offer us unforgettable surprises. It is the first time in our lives that the place where we sleep becomes the best experience of a trip (even if this trip was full of adventures as usually). The Daranur family, Sol, Ferrán, Hassan, Milouda, are amazingly lovely, their presence make shine every corner of this beautiful Riad in which you will not feel at home, you will feel much better than that... Let yourself be surprised by the fraternal spirit of Daranur and you will return charged with plenty of positive energy...

Daranur no es solo un alojamiento, es pura luz para gente como nosotros que siempre permite que la vida nos depare sorpresas inolvidables. Es la primera vez en nuestras vidas que el lugar donde dormimos se convierte en la mejor experiencia de un viaje (y os garantizamos que este viaje estuvo lleno de aventuras como siempre). La familia Daranur, Sol, Ferrán, Hassan, Milouda, son increíblemente encantadores, su presencia hace brillar cada rincón de este precioso Riad en el que no te sentirás como en casa, te sentirás mucho mejor que en ella... Déjate sorprender por el espíritu fraternal de Daranur y volverás a tope de energía positiva...

Not recommended!

We booked the property days ago and informed them about the arrival time which was around 8.00 pm. The beginning of the lockdown in the country was 9.00 pm. We waited at the hotel door until 8.30 pm, nobody answered the phone calls or showed off. The messages over booking.com with the owner didn't help, just a sorry for the misunderstanding. We barely found a hotel with an open reception, and paid lots of money for a night. I definitely do not recommend this property.
