A&A

Riad well located near the Petit Socco, bright room and comfortable bed. Very good breakfast served in a very bright room with a view.

Cute but dirty

The Riad is nice and would have great prospects, but the cleanliness in our room was bad. The shower did not drain the water, the boiler allows you to take a shower one at a time and then you have to wait 10 minutes for the second and so on... then the sheets were not changed. They were full of hair and hair. A shame for such a renowned establishment. Breakfast ok. Normal restaurant.

Not recommended

What a shame... and what a disappointment! The property is undoubtedly charming: very spacious rooms, well-kept decor, and an authentic atmosphere. Unfortunately, however, the welcome and the service are NOT at all up to the price requested. Before arriving, we wrote several times to the property's WhatsApp number to get directions on how to reach the riad, but we never received a response. In a medina made of narrow alleys, a minimum of assistance would have been greatly appreciated, especially considering the location of the riad. The room was beautiful and large, but with a STRONG smell of mold. The air conditioner blows directly onto the bed and opening the windows is not a solution: besides being in poor condition, the unbearable stench of the nearby fish market comes in and the view of construction sites and dilapidated buildings is bleak. Furthermore, in the evening hours, the area gave us a strong feeling of insecurity.
In the evening I asked for a simple bottle of water and they would not let me have it without immediate payment, a detail that sincerely surprised me.
There is no safe in the room and the door is locked with a simple small key. Considering the location of the riad, very hidden in the innermost alleys of the medina, we would have felt more at ease with greater security measures, instead of having to always carry our documents and valuables with us.
A note that, perhaps more than any other, summarizes the experience and the inadequacy of the service: during breakfast, if you simply ask for WATER, it IS TO BE PAID as an EXTRA... 25 dirham. (The room cost a full €160 per night.) It was also made clear to me firmly that without payment it would not have been served. I wonder if Chef Moha, who signs the riad with his own name, is aware of this level of hospitality.
My advice? Do not stay here. There are valid alternatives in the medina, probably with a much better price-quality ratio.

Riad Tanija

The riad itself is quite okay. The room lacks a wardrobe. The service is average. Breakfast is okay. I don't recommend using the restaurant. The food is terrible. My couscous was sour. When I pointed it out to the waiter and asked him to try it, he immediately took it away. The harrira was the worst I've ever eaten.
