A super friendly, super flexible and welcoming hostel who genuinely care about your welfare. I had a really good, happy time he
This hostel was super welcoming, super friendly and totally flexible.
Yamila and Lorenzo were incredibly helpful hosts with Lorenzo even selling me his hard shelled trolley case to accommodate my increased baggage.
I would have no problem recommending the Paradise Garden hostel. To me, the staff felt like family.

Horrible
You pay N$1100 for a room smaller then you have in your house
3 beds against each other no eating or drinking in the room
Sharing a bathroom shower and toilet
It’s in a house with lots of owners together in the house

We had only recently joined Agoda, and unfortunately our property was advertised there with incorrect prices, which I only discovered when the guests arrived. I explained the mistake to them immediately. They were free to cancel and leave, but instead they accepted our normal prices, and the so-called “child” paid for the two remaining beds by credit card.
Instead of placing them in a 4-bed dormitory with bunk beds and another guest, I offered them an upgrade to a large double room with single beds, and additionally added a 2-meter single bed for the third guest.
As the guests were in a hurry to get dinner, they were not interested in seeing the room first. When they returned later with pizzas, I showed them the room and simply asked them not to eat the pizzas inside, as we have comfortable covered outdoor seating areas where guests can eat more conveniently than sitting on the beds.
While having dinner, they decided that the room was not suitable for them and looked for another accommodation. After finishing their meal, they asked for their money back.
Since the reservation had been made through Agoda and payment was made to Agoda, we had not yet received the funds at that time. For that reason, any refund request must be handled directly through Agoda, and I was unable to reimburse them myself.
If guests arrive and feel that our accommodation does not meet their expectations, we always recommend that they inform us immediately and leave right away. This helps avoid disappointment for both sides. However, please keep in mind that, like most accommodation providers, we have a cancellation policy. Same-day cancellations generally mean that prepaid payments cannot be refunded.
We therefore encourage all guests to carefully review the photos and descriptions before making a reservation.

Relaxed home-stay feeling close to the city centre
The house is surrounded by a beautifully kept lush garden where you will always find some nice shade to escape from the heat of the day. The pool is relatively large for what I have seen in Namibia and I spent some time swimming every day. There are some spots where you can set up a tent, dormitories and single/double rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a barbecue place in the garden. The staff can help you with laundry service, travel advice and even reservations for tours or rental cars. What I enjoyed the most was meeting so many interesting people from all over the world, cooking together and all the good conversations. I would certainly come back and I have seen many fellow travelers doing the same.

The next supermarket is 5 minutes walking distance away, open 12 hours every day and the next ATM is as well 5 min walking distance away. Normally we explain that to each and every client. Iam very sorry if we missed to do that with you.
