Overnight stay
Perfect location near central station, friendly staff. Room was clean and had everything we needed for a 1 night stay. Stairs are tight & narrow as expected in Amsterdam properties and considering it is on a busy street with a bar underneath we weren't disturbed by the noise.

Disappointing
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The first day we arrived at 9:30 in the morning, without claiming to have the room available already but we wanted to store our luggage to go and enjoy the day (on the website it was written that you could leave them from 8:30), but on our arrival no one opened us even after continuous intercoms and anyway with the presence of a person inside the bar who was clearly ignoring us. After contacting the hotel around 10:30 we were finally able to put our luggage down.
The hotel is located in a great location.
The rest leaves something to be desired: the small room and not exactly clean (we found hair in the bed and towels) but the worst was the shared bathroom. Obviously we didn't have high expectations but we hoped at least that it would be clean. Also from the rooms you can hear everything: doors that keep slamming, neighbors talking and outside, being an area with many pubs, there is noise until late at night.
For the price we paid we expected something more.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at
The loudest place on earth. The doors don't close, they slam and you can hear everything in the next room and floor. Broken floorboards on the first floor which I had to walk around as I was scared I would go through the floor. Odd use of interior decorating with barely enough room to get to the window. Which doesn't close properly and lets in the coldest air ever. I woke up with a cough. The stairs are terrifying and the shower is depressing.

It's our 'new room' we'll go back only when it's available. Everything is purrfect.
Abs luv the place. Room is special. Steep stairs a giggle after a couple. Met Michel in a funny way, (enuff said)
Top room/BUSY bar/softest bed/unique/big bath/take kettle/loads amenities.

Dirty, just very dirty avoid
The room are in needs a deep clean, the floor is stained, and the wall is stained (a hand print!!! In dark brown: maybe blood or something worse?),. The curtains are ripped and dirty, The windows are very dirty so much that you cannot touch them! Disgusting!
The worst is that the mattress and pillow did not have a protector that could be washed, meaning the bed and pillows were stained and very very revolting dirty.
We could not sleep on it and they changed us for 2 nights in another room, we discovered that they anyway were able to fit 2 people in the same room the same night, so not much cleaning happened (how they could have cleaned and fit new costumers in such as little time?) also because we found some stains on the wall and on the floor still.
The bathrooms seem fairly renovated, so hopefully the bedrooms will be next. The room booked was very small and as we were travelling a lot around Europe barely fit our luggage, no idea why a sink was in the middle of the room ( why? the bathroom was big enough to fit the sink, and also seems new? why they didn't fit the sink there and then have more room in the bedroom!?). They said that the pandemic ( 2 years ago) did not allow them to have the money to repaint... what about cleaning? Wipe the brown handprint walls with some bleach, and dust and wash the windows... not very costly. New mattresses and pillows cost not much in Ikea and are the basics of any hotel! Avoid this place.
