We will come back!!

With a warm welcome we were welcomed at the cozy reception which is also the common room. Super nice and helpful staff, super clean rooms and beds/mattresses where you can sleep really wonderfully. There is cafe and tea, sweets and water for free all day.
The hotel is in the heart of the city, you can reach so many things within walking distance. And if not, the train is right outside. The hotel feels like home, and Jacky the cat is really cuddly sweet. #wewillcomebackagain

Great location, small room with no AC

Pros: Close to Van Gogh Museum, central for trams and getting places. Friendly staff and common area, great breakfast.
Cons: We came during the heat wave, and it was too hot without an AC, and a little fan didn't do much. Keeping the windows open at night meant smelling smoke (from smokers on the street) and hearing the partying going on the streets till 4am. We didn't get good sleep. The hotel also faces a movie theater, so the lights are pretty bright if your drapes aren't closed (we had to leave ours open to try to cool the room down). Bathroom was tiny, and closet was off to the side, making it tricky to keep bags open.
This hotel is perfect for younger crowd that is looking to be out and about till early morning rather than families. The location is great to hop on a tram or walk to gazillion restaurants.

Thank you for your review. We understand your problems with the AC, it is very unusual to be this hot in Amsterdam. We try our best to provide our guests with fans and free ear plugs, but are sorry to hear that the heat wave made your stay uncomfortable. Nevertheless, we hope you had a good time in Amsterdam!

We loved it!

With its location and friendly atmosphere, the hotel was fantastic. It was a family vacation. It was a comfortable enough environment for my 10-year-old son as well. We will choose this place again on our next visit.

Highly recommend!

Great hotel that is centrally located. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, adorable cat “Jacky”. We enjoyed our stay very much and would absolutely stay here again!

Great location, friendly. But you are using a shared external shower and for two days in a row the shower gel dispensers were broken - something I only found out after starting the shower and then what can you do then as it’s outside the room. It’s such a basic maintenance thing.
