Excellent stay with amazing food

We stayed for 1 night including a 5 course meal in Les Salons. The room was perfect, the food was amazing and the estate is gorgeous. It was our second visit after many years and we were blown away again. The staff was very friendly in both the bar, reception and restaurant. We had a great sommelier in Les Salons with some excellent recommendations. Breakfast was good, but crowded at the end. We will return for sure.

Disappointment

.Through this way I would like to express my great disappointment with our recent stay at your hotel. The weekend was meant to be a special birthday present for my wife, but the lack of hospitality and rigid service unfortunately largely ruined this special day. At a hotel with your appearance and pricing, the guest may feel like a king, but we felt like a number from the first moment. It started at the reception. The welcome was chilly, businesslike and absolutely not welcoming. When we asked if our restaurant reservation of 6:45 pm could be a little later, we were immediately told a blunt 'no'. There was no flexibility or thinking along. In addition, the 'luxury room' we booked was in reality no more than a fine standard room. The price-quality ratio already missed the point here. The biggest frustration arose when we wanted to have a drink outside on this beautiful summer day. The main terrace turned out to be reserved for a private party. After a lot of effort we were directed to another terrace, only to be sent away immediately on arrival because this closed at 16:30. Back at the reception it was simply communicated that we could not sit outside. The fact that you can't have a drink anywhere outside in the summer is really unprecedented. After ten minutes of frustration, a friendly staff member offered a solution: we were allowed to sit on the far corner of the terrace. Once we settled down, however, we were sent away by another employee without consultation. It was only after someone else intervened that we were finally allowed to stay put. This cabinet-to-the-wall policy is unworthy of a hotel and created an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere. As a low point, this line continued in the restaurant. We got a table directly in the barrel at the entrance. Although the restaurant was still half empty and I asked for a quieter place, a young waiter with glasses reacted visibly annoyed. After five minutes he came back saying that everything was 'full', after which he assigned us an even worse table. Only when another, but professional waiter came to our table and we explained the situation, suddenly there was no problem at all: we were allowed to choose a nice place ourselves. Although the food was fine (the wines, incidentally, are quite expensive), the overall experience has left a bitter aftertaste. This hotel may function as a regular 4-star hotel, but the service and hospitality associated with the level you pretend to have are far from being found. We have no problem paying for quality, but the price and the service provided were definitely not in balance here. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and sees it as a direct challenge to significantly improve internal communication and the guest orientation of the staff.

An amazing weekend.

Absolutely amazing time at the hotel.
It was the cleanest hotel that I have ever stayed at - outstanding.
Location was stunning and quality of furniture, linen and bathrooms were excellent.
A brilliant stay in every way. We will be back. Thank you

Beautiful location - but there is a lot of room for improvement in the service (especially for a 'Relais & Châteaux' hotel).

Beautiful location. The room had a great design and was very clean (Room 301).
We were traveling as two friends and requested a twin room. Given the rather steep price, an additional €35 was charged for separating the beds, which I find outrageous.
Dinner was delicious and the service was fantastic. Unfortunately, the complete opposite: Breakfast buffet. Service was unfriendly, food was rather average (on both days the Egg Florentine was overcooked, food was not replenished, etc.). Staff was not receptive to feedback.
Check-in/check-out was unfortunately more like at a 'Holiday Inn Express.'
