Awesome time at La Perla
My husband and I had an awesome time while we were there at La Perla in January 2011. There is amazing food close by and the beach is beautiful. Diana, Alexander and the whole family were awesome hosts. The place was very clean, and well run. Go to El Manglar for awesome jalea mixta or conchas negras, 4 min moto taxi.

Overpriced and overrated
My partner and I stayed at La Perla for a few days and were bitterly disappointed with our stay. While the rooms are generally clean, the service was poor and the people seemed more intent at loitering and making you feel uncomfortable than making us feel welcome.
The food was well over-priced and to be honest was less than impressive. Breakfast is well overpriced so make sure you insist that it is included before you confirm your reservation. We were also slightly offended that we had to pay 4 soles for a cup of water which we had incorrectly assumed was simply a friendly gesture. Also, check the bedside drawers before you leave - it may have been unintentional of the cleaner but it seems a little strange that she would move our personal belongings into a drawer when they were on a table during her daily "clean" of our room - just make sure that nothing is "left- behind". Would strongly recommend you check out the other neighbouring accommodation options before you book here. Also keep in mind that the owners have actually posted two of the "positive" reviews on TripAdvisor...

It is very important always to remember q when one contract services of lodging this gives right good treatment, but does not mean q the guest can make the q comes to him in the desire We hope with this power to clarify its points of view

Bizarre and angry owners occupy beautiful beach
This is a "visit once, learn from the mistake, and tell others not to go there" establishment. We found this place on the internet and the place looked beautiful, especially the gardens and pool. The owners are a different story. They are Russian ex-pats who insult everything and everyone, especially Peruvians. They have nothing to do during the day so they literally follow the guests around telling them what they can't do: you can't swim in the pool you are supposed to soak, kids can't play in the grass it is just for show, etc.
It is kind of like visiting a crotchety relative and overpaying for the experience. My wife was reading her book in the lobby around 9:00 pm and the owner turned off the lights in the room and said she was wasting electricity. On the first night we got eaten alive by mosquitos because the screens were torn. We asked the owner to repair the screens and he told us we needed to use bug spray and sleep with a sheet.
We had an awful experience and left early.
While the hotel was terrible, the beach is pristine and the town is very nice for several days. We found another place down the beach called El Mirador and we will be staying there next time. In Los Órganos you can easily show up and look around a bit before booking. The beach is well worth it.

Precio alto y poca calidad
Nos quedamos sólo una noche, porque la calidad del hotel no fue buena y tampoco el servicio. Las camas eran pequeñas y muy duras, en el baño se iba el agua y el agua de la ducha muy poca. El desayuno de cortesía, me pareció muy sencillo en comparación al precio del hotel, 2 panes, mantequilla y mermelada y si querías leche o algún alimento más, te cobraban el adicional. Las sillas eran pequeñas y poco cómodas para sentarte. Había una piscina que el agua estaba muy turbia y sucia. Además, dejamos olvidados unos cargadores, regresamos en unas horas que nos dimos cuenta y ya no estaban, y a regañadientes dejaron subir a ver si estaban los cargadores en el cuarto. Pésima atención y cordialidad.

Fin de verano perfecto
Fui con mis papás y mi hermana la primera semana de Marzo. Diana nos atendió muy servicial. Cuando necesitamos una laptop y nos prestó una, movilidad desde y hacia la agencia. Puede incluso pedirse comida por delivery. Muy tranquilo el hotel, y la limpieza de piscina y habitaciones salta a la vista. Además,tienen mosquiteros también y son ventiladas.Varios ambientes para estar dentro del hotel.Mucha seguridad, y el precio es más que justo.Volveremos sin dudas.
