Simple but ideally located

Ideally located for diving. If you are looking for a cheap but decent place, this is it.
The bads: The cleaning was not great, and the sheets had permanent stains.
The staff at the reception were not very friendly nor profesional. They don't serve neither lunch nor dinner.
Now the positives: The rooms have an option AC (recommended), and fresh towels are given every two days. Ideally situated, close to all restaurants and Diving centers. Maintenance staff were very nice and helped us out often.
Tip: to be a good guest, turn off your AC when you are not in the room (they acknowledge and appreciate it).

Staying at blue corals akin to a night in a prison cell

One of the worst places I’ve stayed. Stained sheets, bugs all over the place. Broken Fixtures and fittings, very little storage room, shower that sprayed needles of water in lots of different directions. Seemingly incompetent staff who handed out rooms without first checking bookings meaning we couldn’t get in the room we booked and paid for. Management seemed uninterested in sorting it and gave the burden of responsibility to the receptionist who came to the reception when called by manager in night attire. We had to ask for a 2nd bedsheet in order we could both be covered at the same time during the uncomfortable nights sleep. We moved out into a different hotel after staying only 1 night.
For balance, I expect this room would suffice for a few nights if you were a single backpacker looking for shelter on a budget

A horrible facility. Dirty, slow service. There are young women working the front desk and restaurant and lacked any enthusiasm for the job. Never once asked how they could help us. We had ants crawling all over our breakfast table and they did nothing about it. Would serve us foo but provide no utensils. There were huge red branches hand rails leading up to the entrance so you couldn’t use them with out getting attacked. Same with the wash station for sandy feet. It was infested with red ants. They also allowed shirtless customer into the dining area and we subject to unbearable body odor. The oldest woman who I assume is the manager /owner was the only person who seemed professional but only saw her twice during the stay. It was an awful experience.

Good stay, little of good drink

The rooms cannot be securely locked. The same key can also be used in several hotel rooms. No problem if one forgets a key either. You can easily open the doors with a credit card or the like.
They had no cold drinks, no beer or soda. Just water.
Otherwise this is a nice place to be!

Pros:
The property is located very near the port (5min walk). It is also situated at the beach front, near restaurants.
Cons:
1. It’s old. Though old, it could have been better if cleanliness is maintained
2. The staff are not so warm and welcoming.
3. The water in the shower is a bit salty. Seems like the water coming out of the faucet is from the ocean :)
Hope the management will clean the property well. It really has a good potential considering the location.
