Short stop
Returned to this hotel for our second visit ,
Lovely old stye hotel in good location, short taxi ride from railway station .
Very disappointed when we arrived at 21.20 and checked in.
When we requested a drink at the bar to relax after a long journey we were told we would have to have it in our room as they have stopped serving .
When i asked why the bar and restaurant was full and still serving and advertising 22.00 closure the receptionist said oh ok you can have one quick drink then you have to carry on in room.
What happened to customer hospitality and it was still early , I think she was In the wrong career .
She seemed not interested and slightly rude as if it was too much trouble.
So we decided to get a taxi and go out to relax, plenty of nice bars a short ride away.The whole point of being in hospitality is to make sure your customers are relaxed.
Also earnings missed in our expenditure.
Breakfast was good and nice and friendly staff in the morning.
Check out other facilities and hotels as they don’t seem to want your business
