Great hostel, perfect for a single traveller

I can only confirm all the positive reviews about Hostel Tina.
First of all, I had a private room for what I would usually pay for a dorm bed. But nothing to be suspicious about! I was lucky to get a big room for myself, with comfortable bed, sofa and chairs. Very clean, as is the rest of the apartment.
Constantin and his mom are great hosts and the breakfast is very tasty. You can enjoy it while having a conversation with Constantin and other guests. It’s like staying with friends indeed, but I had privacy and didn’t feel uncomfortable at all - good to know for all the introverts reading this :)
The only downside is that the hostel is quite difficult to find, but not impossible. If you can’t find it, you can call the host or ask the locals for directions - the Romanians are very helpful!

A nice home your stay in Bucharest.

I was at this Hostel for about a week, it was a bit tricky to find but the Host Constantin did help me out and picked me up.
The Hostel itself is basically his flat, which he turned into a Hostel and it is totally fine.
The place is clean, Constantin is super nice and help where even he can. His Omelet breakfast is amazing.
The hostel is located in the District 3 is nice, 3 Metrostops from Piata Unirii (Oldtown - City center), 100m away from a park with a big lake and the beautiful "Parklake Shopping center".
I had a great time there. I enjoyed my walks around the lake, as I said the breakfast is really good and Constantin is really nice.
I can only recommend this place in Bucharest.

Nice for a couple-of-days stay for those who like it cosy and peaceful

Being rather an apartment with rooms to let, Hostel Tina may be recommended to all those who want to find a nice place to stay away from the crowds. Located in the neighbourhood 3 underground stops away from Piata Unirii, with a friendly host who may give you a lot of hints if you feel lost in the city. Still, even though it is further than other locations, you can come back even quite late without trouble, Dristor area seems to be a safe place in Bucharest.

Like staying with a friend.

It has been a relief after a month of traveling through Europe to arrive in Constantine's care. After a long day of travel he showed me to my room and offered to bring me a cup of tea to my room. I happily accepted.
After a quiet night's sleep he prepared a wonderful breakfast of cheese omelette with sides of fresh tomato, cucumber and two slices of bread.
While it's not your typical hostel, it's more of a guest house located in an apartment building, it's a wonderful look into life here in Bucharest.
Constantine is friendly, warm, and a pleasure to talk to. I very much enjoyed his company while he prepared breakfast and appreciate his generous hospitality. Even letting me stay a few hours after checkout while I wait for my friends!
My many thanks to a wonderful host!

Essentially a dudes apartment in an average location

Stayed here for several days in early August. As the title suggests you are pretty much staying in a dudes apartment (Constantine also shares this place with I assume his mother..) converted into a "backpacker hostel".
Luckily When we were there it was pretty quiet because despite being small it could sleep up to potentially 6 (+2 owners/occupiers) to share 1 bathroom. There's a kitchen but it's not really a place suitable for self catering.
It's located in the suburbs in a large apartment complex area (apartment is on 9th floor) so it's a bit of a mission to get to and find when you first arrive. Several metro station stops from main train station and city plus a decent 10/15min walk.. Therefore when you head into the town centre you are pretty much committing your entire day there. It is however a very safe neighbourhood had no concerns walking around at night and has everything you could need in terms of supermarkets pharmacies etc
I do need to point out that the owner is lovely, helpful, charming in a way and multiple notes in the "hostel" attest to it. Ultimately however, even with the pricing, I'm pretty sure you can find better elsewhere.
