A really great place to stay. Staff is very friendly. If you like nature, this place has nice hikes. Few minutes hike to the waterfall. Great place to relax

Definitely not returning!!

We stayed for 3 nights and will not repeat this experience! Just adequate cleaning, very old and unrenovated rooms. Scarce breakfast, not worth it. To top it off, they tell you there is parking inside the building, but it only fits 6-7 cars in a row, and the guy told us it was full because those who work park around, and you have to park in the afternoon to find a spot. In other words, a joke!!
There is not a single bar or café on the street; it is on the other side of the river. Not central at all. I do not recommend it.

Charming stay in a great location

I had a generally good experience. The hotel is located in a beautiful historic building right in the heart of Cluj, which makes it very easy to walk everywhere. The atmosphere is charming and the whole place felt quite decent and well-maintained. However, I have to mention that the pillows were not very comfortable, which made it a bit harder to get a good night's sleep. Aside from that, it’s a solid, reliable spot if you’re looking for a central place to stay in the city.

SUMMARY: DO NOT STAY HERE
1) reception was closed even though it was listed as open on the listing.
2) they did not take my passport information which is super sketchy to me.
3) the bed is maybe the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on and I camp on the ground.
4) the curtains were see through and there was a window in the door which let in the light from the motion activated sensor which literally went on and off every 30 seconds with a loud click. It woke me up all night. I did not sleep until the sun came up.
5) super thin walls in the room so I could hear everything the other rooms were doing.

Smells like - nothing good

Had a one night stay here. We managed to get a parking spot inside the courtyard but you can park on the street outside.
The room was relatively basic but had everything you needed - sort of like a Travelodge. Huge downside was there being a drain in the floor of the bathroom and it absolutely reeked of a men's urinals! I don't know if it had been caused by the major thunderstorm but it was rank.
Decided not to have breakfast so can't comment on that.
Easy walk into Cluj, and by a country mile the best thing about being there was discovering the Steampunk Transylvania museum which was about a ten minute walk away.
Not sure I would stay here again, just felt a little too cheap and cheerful.
