Perfect birthday

Very peaceful and private
With hot water and electricity and wifi
We saw animals
We had a birthday Braai
Mama Esther was an amazing host
She made sure we had enough blankets and she was always reachable

Great Experience

my partner and i had a wonderful vacation that started from the 19th of February till 23rd of February. We had an amazing experience on being on a farm, it was lovely. Our room was cleaned very perfectly by Mama Esther, she is so welcoming and lovely, she made us feel at home and welcome. We saw animals, got to enjoy the pool every day and it was very clean as well. The atmosphere is very refreshing and there is no noise at all. We also had an experience of hiking as well.

Beautiful sunset at Thaba Manzi it's a must see

Thaba Manzi is a home away from home with Hans and mama Esther running the place with love. Mama Esther made us feel at home and we came back just for the warmest welcome and the peace of the farm. Everything is in good condition, the rooms are clean and cozy. It was our 4th visit and we will come back again and again

Honest Review

Being a farm, this is not luxury accommodation. The Views and walks were the best part of our experience.
The Standard rooms have no privacy (Open shower in the living area).
On arrival we were told only One toilet roll supplied for our 12 day booking. (If you tell me to make provision I would ensure I bring extra.) After phoning Hans and complaining, extra was supplied. Our disappointment was experienced when we had power failures. When there is no electricity there is no water. Again, when phoning Hans, we were told that "This is a farm and what do we expect." However, we were disappointed that the basics were not available, no electricity, no water (One one occasion power out for 1 1/2 days). The infrastructure is poor and we both felt that with better management, Thaba Manzi Ranch could be a Gem and a Fantastic Getaway place. On a positive note Ester tries very hard to satisfy the customers.
Would we go back..... "No, not unless the owner changes his attitude and proper infrastructure is adhered too. At the end of the day, if we wanted to camp we would have chosen camping accommodation, but we paid to stay in adequate accommodation. This was not what we received."

We share your disappointment at the poor service we received from Eskom during this festive season.
Frequent thunderstorms and great rain were welcome but the associated power cuts were not.
It was unusually bad in the past 2 weeks and Eskom claims to be working on a long term "fix.
Let's hope they deliver.

So quiet very beautiful nature around

Thank you. We really enjoyed our stay away from the busy city. Most beautiful scenery . Everything you need. The 3 to 4 km on the dirt road was bad, but overall excellent. Need to stay longer next time
