Exceptional Location. Noise coming from upper floor.

Our stay at Alda Alborán Rooms was overall enjoyable. The location is truly exceptional, right in the heart of the city, with everything within walking distance. There are countless dining options nearby, making it a food lover's paradise; and in Galicia the food is amazing. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was fine, and accessing the apartment was straightforward with helpful reception staff available until 9 pm. The breakfast was pleasant, and the option to arrange nearby parking (a 5-minute walk, extra cost) was very convenient, especially since driving in the city center isn’t allowed (please be careful with GPS in Coruña).
However, there were some drawbacks. Noise coming from the upper floor was quite disruptive and went on until late at night (around midnight). Additionally, one morning there was an energy supply issue, leaving the breakfast room without lights or anything hot, including coffee(!), a small hiccup that hopefully was an one-time occurrence. Lastly, we noticed a visible crack on the wall in our room, which initially concerned us, but we trusted that proper inspections and regulations are in place.
Despite these issues, the fantastic location and overall amenities made our stay enjoyable. With some improvements in soundproofing and better handling of unexpected situations, this place could be even better!

Friendly staff. Good buffet breakfast( except only cold milk in plastic bottles).
Iron available as needed. Good shower. Nice little balcony.

I can't recommend it.

Cleanliness and comfort, regular. Maybe for backpackers, no more. They do not inform the payment in advance until arrival, but they do not give invoice until departure, I will consult the legality of this. Not recommended, there is plenty to choose from to fall back into the same error.

Central, cheap, but with flaws

We were very happy to get cheap accommodation in the old town. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. However, I had the feeling that I had ended up in a discount hotel. The interior seemed contemporary, but the building was showing signs of wear and tear in one or two corners. The mixer tap in the bathroom mixed the water from cold to hot almost immediately and the shower head was leaking. The TV only showed one channel. The lady at reception was also responsible for breakfast in the morning and the cleanliness of the room. So she could only pay attention to one room at a time. Breakfast was only rudimentary, as I personally avoid industrial products but was forced to use them. The coffee machine didn't add any more milk to the milky coffee, so we had to heat up a milk carton in the microwave.
The location and the view from the window were brilliant, everything was within easy walking distance and the parking ticket for the Marinara car park was €5 cheaper.
