A tranquil haven away from the crowds - a beautiful place

Can Iara is a beautiful place. We spent 11 wonderful nights here in September in the Deluxe King Studio which had everything we needed. There was great communication with Samantha immediately after booking and she passed our details onto Sandra who couldn't have been more helpful. Sandra was so helpful in fact that she very kindly helped us to adopt a beautiful stray kitten who we met at Can Iara and he should be home with us later this month.
If you want a tranquil haven away from the crowds then Can Iara ticks all the boxes. We only saw one other guest by the pool in our entire trip. A car is essential but very cheap to hire - we used Zest/K10 - and the North and West part of the island is stunning.
We can't recommend Can Iara high enough, thanks you for a wonderful stay.

Unfortunately disappointing experience – not as expected
We had Can Iara booked for a longer stay but left the property after the first night. The house was not as described but unkempt and smelled dingy , which was not acceptable to us. the pool was at this time
not clean, cloudy and covered with deposits.
After consulting the host Samantha, she assured me in writing that we would receive a refund if the stay was stopped. On this basis we left the house. Unfortunately, she was not available after that, blocked me and did not keep her promise.
I write this review to encourage other travelers to look closely and not rely on verbal or external commitments.
The location is nice, but reliability, honesty and communication are equally important for a successful stay – and we missed them here unfortunately.

Disappointment...

I admit to being very disappointed in all sincerity by our stay in Can Iara. Despite a person on site who answered our questions by SMS we had a completely different experience despite the other reviews indicated here.
First of all, the "Finca" Ca Iara begins to carry the weight of the years and is not well maintained at the level of outdoor spaces in particular; this seems a little abandoned. There are not enough umbrellas...
Then the pool cloudy, not engaging with a water level at the lowest when we arrived...We learned that it was broken down and would be repaired during the stay. Great for a six-day vacation! We were not able to take advantage of it and more seriously no compensation was offered.
Finally the accommodation, a kind of damp room, dark, not very clean, without TV (even if we do not come for this) us one gratified with an impressive and recurring noise in the middle of the night of a toilet sanibroiler. Wake up in the middle of the night assured. We were never warned of this beforehand. Cleaning the rooms does not necessarily include cleaning the floor.
Under these conditions, I will not return to this place but I will have the pleasure of staying for the fourth time on this island.

Great spot ! Incredible stay.

Me and my wife had an incredible stay over there. Were 5 days in October, great weather, the place is so delightful, many rest areas around to relax and enjoy the nature. Comfy room, and Samantha was the best host ever.
We also did a boat trip with Dario, who knows what he does and took us on great spots around the island.
We definitely will be back and I'm sure it's the best cost benefit in the island because it's not crazy expensive as the all others places and they deliver an amazing and unforgettable experience!

Dubbele boeking

Onze vakantie bij Can Iara gaat niet door, terwijl wij een bevestiging van de boeking hadden en 70% hadden aanbetaald voor de roze kamer in september. Rechtstreeks bij de eigenaar geboekt geboekt in februari 2020 voor september 2020. Vanwege Corona een jaar verplaatst omdat het gebied code oranje was en hierbij de boeking aangepast. Bevestiging van boeking ontvangen via de mail met datum en bevestiging via app contact. Een jaar later krijg ik te horen dat ze onze kamer al aan een ander heeft verhuurd en dat we niet meer kunnen komen .
Hierover heeft ze geen contact met ons gezocht maar hebben we zelf moeten ontdekken omdat we het laatste restant zes weken van tevoren wilden overmaken.
Ondanks dat wij de eerste boekers waren, waren wij degene die niet meer mochten komen. Ontzettend teleurgesteld in de communicatie! Zo blij dat we eerst waren met de plek, zo teleurgesteld om hoe er met ons is omgegaan.
Om onze vakantie niet slecht te beginnen hebben wij het voor nu erbij gelaten ondanks dat wij in ons recht stonden. Je wilt toch niet naar een plek, waar je eigenlijk niet meer welkom bent en wat gedoe oplevert.
Alleen boeken in samenwerking met een organisatie omdat je anders niet weet of je wel een slaapplek hebt. De organisatie hebben ze hierbij voor hunzelf niet voor elkaar.
