Soulless, much below expected standards, ridiculous rip-off for the safe.

One can quickly fall for the chic rooftop bar and terrace, but not everything that glitters is gold. Overall, the hotel turns out to be rather gloomy and not customer-oriented. In detail: Rooms, housekeeping very tidy. Service at the rooftop bar is very good. I experienced everything else as below standard. Atmosphere - such as plastic flowers in the breakfast room and rooms facing the courtyard - is soulless. The staff and the reception are slow and more preoccupied with themselves than with the guests. The icing on the cake was the ridiculous charge for the safe. After traveling to about 100 countries and staying in more than 300 hotels, I have never experienced that something permanently installed, like the safe, was additionally charged at 2.50 euros per day. Administrative effort and guest frustration are much more expensive.

Avoid at all cost

The worst hotel I ever stayed in. Food is like in a bad school cafeteria. You only get one hour to eat dinner, so it's very stressful. No aircondition or ventilation in dining area either. Rude staff in sky bar, apparently unaware who pays their salary. Overall condition of rooms and hallways is absolutely disgusting, see attached pictures. The "bed" is a terrible mattress on a wooden board, no bedframe whatsoever. An absolute catastrophe. I've had better beds in second rate hostels. The bathroom door offers zero privacy so the whole room can hear you taking a dump. Constant noise from other rooms, moving furniture, or doors slammed shut. Absolute scam and ripoff for that price.
Stay away unless you're just there to get wasted.
No idea where the 4 stars come from, I wouldn't even give it 2. What a joke.

Worn out and loud.

We booked this hotel because we had been here five or six years ago and were very satisfied at that time. Unfortunately, times have apparently changed.
The hotel now seems quite run down and worn out. Our room was outdated and overall in a condition that we found inappropriate for the price charged. It gave more the impression of a simple dive than a hotel of this price range.
A major problem is also the location in the front row at Ballermann. The noise level is enormous, and the windows are only inadequately soundproofed. Sleeping was practically only possible with the window closed – and even then, the sounds from outside were clearly audible.
We would like to highlight the staff, who were always very friendly and attentive.
Overall, we would not book this hotel again. We would also avoid accommodations in the front row at Ballermann in the future. For the price, we expected significantly more.

Cleaning

Already stayed and found myself fine. Now I'm staying. This is the fourth time the room has not been cleaned. They are taken away towels left on the floor in the shower... removed the sign redo the room...
Addressed at the reception after the second time... and it was not enough.
Corporate choice because it closes the season?
