Very friendly stay

Very friendly staff who will give their upmost effort to give you a pleasnt stay. Host Kris is excellent.

Perfect stay

Staying at this hotel for 2 nights. After a very warm welcome our 2 rooms involved. Clean and tidy rooms with air conditioning and balcony Staff are very friendly and helpful and think along.
Breakfast and evening food is freshly prepared but gives no choice. Very tasty though!
Nice view (our dinner on balcony consumed)

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING STAY - BEST STAFF EVER

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST STAY!!! We loved Ella mainly because of our stay at this hotel. Ganga and Suresh as well as ALL the staff were absolutely fantastic. Best food I’ve had during our entire stay in Sri Lanka, can’t praise Ganga enough for her delicious food, thank you!!! The room was nice, shower was great, everything was excellent. 100% would recommend staying here, 100% value for money. Wouldn’t stay at any other place if I come to Ella again. Thank for your the best stay.
Beautiful view and staff organised transport for us and even a van to Yala, which we then asked the same driver to take us back to Colombo because he was very nice and the van was comfortable. Absolutely loved our stay here.

Wonderful

My family and I booked our rooms on the day as our original hotel we had booked was horrendous.
49 Ella is a wonderful place to stay ✨️. We called and booked 2 rooms on the 06th of March for 3 nights. The manager came to pick us up with his van driver. They were wonderful and whisked us away to a paradise within a paradise island. When we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and a lovely glass of juice. We were shown to our rooms and the stress of our previous hotel melted away. Suresh and Ganga, the dynamic couple, are amazing at making you feel welcome. All the staff at 49 Ella are kind, friendly, and helpful. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Ganga is an amazing chef ‍. She prepared us some of the best meals we have eaten in Sri Lanka. Every day, Ganga would ask what we would like to eat, and she would prepare us for a feast. During our stay, we ate like royalty she really went all out to make our stay amazing .
The rest of the staff, Sudesh, Shainyi, and Chamindu, are all wonderful . The only issue I had was that the toilet in our room had a leak.
I would stay at 49 Ella anytime providing Suresh, Ganga, and the team are running the place. They helped us sort out day trips and took time to ensure we were okay. One day, coming back from town, I dropped my phone in a tuk. When I explained to Suresh the manager what had happened, he went out with Sudesh on his motorbike to find my phone. Thankfully, the tuk driver was an honest man and returned my phone to me.
At stay at 49, Ella is a must. You will not be disappointed.

Worth for the price.

Small rooms but neat and tidy.
Budget hotel. It provides the basic necessity.
Depending on what you need as a traveler, if you want to just have a clean bed and relax 5-6 hours, this is the place.
Friendly staff and good service.
But meals (set menu) were not delicious.
