A dream team in the Knuckles mountains.

For our family consisting of two adults and 3 children, we booked both accommodations. They are both comfortable, functional, and elegantly decorated. We all slept well. It is located at an altitude of about 1300m. No need for air conditioning or a mosquito net. The team that manages the place is exceptional: Haritha knew how to adapt to our family to offer us great hikes in the mountains, discovering the fauna and flora. Dhanuka is an outstanding cook worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant chef. He prepared excellent breakfasts and dinner for us ($20 per person). The best meals we had in Sri Lanka. Tharindu is very attentive, always ready to help. Pila, the elder, does not hesitate to give explanations about this little corner of paradise. We stayed 4 nights and did 3 hikes with Haritha: a short 2-3 hour walk around the accommodation in the late afternoon where we were able to discover several birds, tea fields, and saw a wild pig; a full-day hike to go to Knuckles Peak (1860m altitude) with the discovery of many lizards, flowers, mushrooms, insects; the third hike lasted about 7-8 hours and took us into the jungle at 850m altitude below the accommodation and we were able to swim at the foot of a waterfall.
