Visit a Herregård - Visit Munkedal Herrgård

What a wonderful place. Munkedal Herregård fulfills every wish for a quiet and relaxing long weekend. The service is absolutely amazing and accommodating. The library was well suited for some card games and dice over the evening. The food is a story in itself. Here's someone in the kitchen who really knows what they're doing. We lived in the newly renovated home down by the waterfall. Incredibly cozy and with very good beds. When it takes no more than 2 1/2 hours from Lillestrøm, it is well worth the trip.

There we won't come again

We lived in family room in annex. The baby beds/sofas were somewhat hard and vice versa the adult beds were too soft. Luckily stayed there only one night.
Breakfast was somewhat limited, maybe because there were not so many guests but don't know it.
The place is nice, has some history and they are very friendly.
However, we will probably find another place another time. We are disappointed with the experience and we don’t think you get enough for the money compared to other places.

Nice Manor with Mediocre Service

It started badly and got worse. The website emphasizes the fine hiking trails as one of the reasons for a visit. When we arrive at the Manor and ask about what the website calls "one of Sweden's most popular hiking trails", there was no information at all. During the afternoon when we wanted to order a glass of bubbly, the attention from the receptionist was not on top, as he sat and watched movies on his mobile. In the evening the receptionist had changed shape and was now a waiter. When we pointed out that one of the wines was defective, he replied that it was not and indeed "had only been opened half an hour ago". Hardly a guarantee that a wine cannot be defective. When we later in the evening asked how the TV worked because it was not possible to see any channels at all, the same waiter replied that "they say that it is just to connect via their phone". At breakfast the following day, bread and freshly brewed coffee were finished. We had to have machine coffee and a wait for the bread. We leave the Manor and go home with a feeling that this place could be really nice if only the reception and Service had been better.

Environment and food in Bohuslän manor house environment

Perfect accommodation in manor setting. Nice park and Rämgård me a good kitchen
We slept well in good beds and the environment was quiet and with lovely birdsong when we woke up.
We had a delicious dinner with three courses, smoked venison for starter, fried hake for main course and final with fresh strawberries and gass.
Also the breakfast was excellent. We highly recommend

Munkedal, interesting story

Nice building, soft very comfortable beds. Very good service, very nice people PR who worked there. Had ordered 2 course menu. The chef spiced up the food with extra tarragon. Very service oriented, would like to say a great place we are happy to return to!
