Swedish practicality and joyful welcome
We found this lovely bed and breakfast online and snapped up a rare cancellation.
The Missionshuset is a very short walk along delightful unpaved paths from the ferry dock. Even with a totally unsuitable heavy case on tiny wheels, it was easy to access.
From the outside you see a pretty garden where you can take your meals or a coffee. Inside it's all eggshell blue and calm white. You feel like you have escaped into a peaceful retreat.
Upstairs are five bedrooms and the shared bathroom facilities (three toilets with handbasins and two showers so you should never need to wait). Our room looked out over the neighbour's garden where the roses were blooming.
Of course, nobody goes to Sandhamn to see the inside of a hotel - and this location is so handy for the main hotel (for lovers of the Sandhamn Murders TV series, this is where where 'Nora Linde' often drinks a glass of wine), dive bar, cafes, and shops along the seafront.
Everything is quaint and perfectly in keeping with the history of the island. You will go from one lovely place to another, even the houses are lovely to walk past.
Highlights of the stay are the fantastic breakfast buffet, with fresh fruit, local breads, jams, a great range of teas (all good quality loose leaf with infusers), eggs, cheese, ham, and even waffles with whipped cream, jam, maple syrup, or Nutella (diet before or after your stay - not during). Another highlight is a lift on the front tray of a moped down to the ferry home, so much easier than walking with the case and so much fun
I wish I could have stayed longer.
Walking around the island, sailing around the other islands, sampling every beach and cafe. But - alas - we had to go. I will be back for longer next time.

Great Experience
We stayed here for two nights. It was an adorable place, and not far from where the ferry dropped us off. The staff was very attentive and helpful. They let us leave our luggage while we walked around the island. For breakfast, there was a very impressive spread, and the lady who owned the bed-and-breakfast, took it upon herself to explain to us what they have to offer. She also helped us with explaining the hiking around the island. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would recommend this bed-and-breakfast to anyone coming to stay on the island.

Delicious breakfast beyond the usual.
Exceeded expectations at a very reasonable price. The location is far enough from the port. Quiet and peaceful with very beautiful surroundings.
Five minutes' walk to Fläskberget, just as far down to the harbour.
The accommodation upstairs, five rooms, was very fresh with wonderful beds and clinical cleanliness. Two shared shower rooms and three toilets felt luxurious. Good soundproofing, at least in room 5 where we stayed.
The best of all was the breakfast!
So much to choose from for such a small place. Everything laid out in the best way for the charm of the eye. The smell of freshly warmed, fresh bread and croissants hit you already on the stairs down to the large, well-furnished breakfast room.
The range would easily fit in any large hotel in town. Really good coffee.
Kudos to Jessica who presided over the whole thing. She really lived up to the epithet Glada Hudik where she grew up.

Wonderful place for a very nice visit of Sandham
The stay in Missionshuset has been wonderful, everything was very clean and nice. The house is cozy and nicely decorated. We have felt very welcome with very nice staff,
There is a wide and very tasty breakfast with several food options, homemade bread, fresh fruits and vegetables. The atmosphere was very nice and warm so that we felt almost at home.
We warmly recommend this restaurant and accommodation to all visitors to Sandhamn.

Nice little cottage
Very cozy little cabin with a private bathroom (shower and toilet). It doesn't have any little fridge / minibar in it, otherwise it would be perfect.
Good breakfast served in the main building next to it, outdoor seating available. Welcoming service.
It's a pity it's so difficult to book it. There are other rooms but this cottage is the only one.
