Nice views

Amazing views and area. We had coffee there and was really not good. So they should serve much better coffee and breakfast quality could be better

Day saved

I went to the restaurant for an ice cream on the way to the ship in Lugano. Delicious affogato & ice cream with strawberries - was very nice to sit on the terrace and admire the lake & mountains.
I went on to the ship - nice walk along the lake.
Arrive in Lugano - see there! Left my popular denim jacket on the terrace !
Found the hotel on the internet and called but was unsure because the area code was Italy & I thought it should be in Switzerland. Connecting didn't work out right - But they called me right back & everything was clarified - yay! My jacket I have again, I also ate dinner - zucchini with butter noodles - TOTAL delicious and then cake della nun:-) . Still a beautiful day in the Lugano area. The hotel I will visit next time & look forward to already!

Just amazing, beautifully beautiful.

Just amazing, family hotel, beautiful place. Very clean hotel, Sara, brothers Julien, Mariano, waiter etc... very nice, attentive, advice etc... public transport everywhere. Just ask at the front desk for parking and free transport card thanks to the hotel and discounts everywhere. I will return without thinking in this beautiful area and I take over the Hotel Riviera. BIG THANKS I spent 3 nights and 4 days in an area just incredible, between lakes and mountains. AMAZING. Not to mention, great Wissminiatur, and the beautiful village MORCOTE just 5 min from the hotel by car. Crazy village. THAT'S NICE.

Family feel on the lake shore

The hotel is situated right on the water with most rooms facing the lake and a wonderful terrace overlooking the lake. The hotel feels like it is family run (perhaps it is) with very friendly receptionist checking me in. My room was fairly basic but with a very comfortable bed, super clean, modern bathroom and wide balcony overlooking the lake.
Further down from the terrace is a deck with sunchairs and access to the lake. There is also a pool, but it is quite small and is actually partly under the terrace. You can easily get a drink from the friendly staff at the bar-restaurant and take it with you to the deck.
There is public parking right next to the hotel where you can park for free for a limited time. As I was arriving late Saturday afternoon I could leave my car there until Sunday morning.
The hotel has a restaurant but I opted to eat on the other side of the street where there is a restaurant with terrace (no lake view) with a very local atmosphere. Breakfast was simple but more than sufficient, especially with the wonderful lake view.

A Delightful Stay at The Riviera Hotel

I spent one week at The Riviera Hotel and had a wonderful time. The hotel is perfectly situated by the lake, offering beautiful views and a tranquil atmosphere. Guests have the option to swim in the private pool or in the lake from the private dock. The entire staff is lovely. Thank you for a fantastic stay.
