Avoid at all costs,

Hotel to be avoided absolutely; as a woman, they are very disrespectful. They sold us a dream; it is a nightmare. The staff spends their time making sexual allusions. They speak to you rudely. From the busboy to the front desk. The dining room is over 104 degrees. The food is always the same. The rooms have nothing to do with the photos. They are very old. Tiny shower. As for water, if you want a bottle of water, it is 8 dinars. And the 2 water coolers in the hotel are hot. The A/C is almost nonexistent. I can't wait for my departure on Sunday.

Horrible Do Not Book!!!

This hotel is dirty would not recommend. Toilets never cleaned, they never had toilet paper in or hand towels. Windows to all doors, reception rooms and dinner room all dirty & never cleaned in the week we were there. Dinning hall floor dirty and sticky, I've left my flip flops as they were rotten and i was stickingto the floor due to this!!
I don't normally write reviews but felt i had to on this hotel. Please read my honest report. My partner is still poorly with food poisoning 6 days on now, gladly we are home. I have gone into a bit of detail if you want to read it.
Rooms -
Very dated, feels like I was taken back to the 80's with the furniture & curtains. The beds were comfortable and clean. The bathrooms have been updated at some point but the shower is small. There is no fridge as standard, you have to pay them a daily charge for one and only if they have one available. Which I think is shocking in this day and age!! Also only one plug in the room.
The balcony door has no handle on the outside so please don't lock yourself on the balcony like we did, but luckily we managed to shake open the door so advice please lock away your valuables in the safe provided if on the ground floor!!!!
Food -
Very poor, bland, not hot and not give much variety!!! They do not take away the cold food and replace it with new hot food. The prawns I didn't find fresh. People would push in line or not respect others in the dinner hall or at the bar.
Animation Team & Staff -
These guys are amazing on the go all day and do their best with the kids and adults. As do the dar and restaurant staff.
Beach -
It's beautiful there and could be so much better with the space they have. As theres a man in a shed and small fridge for drinks and no toilets but there's a lovely seating area that doesn't get used which could be used as a bar.

A shame.

I strongly advise against this establishment.
Bad food.
Drinks not cold.
No A/C in the restaurant.
No gaming room.
Bad bedding.
We were sold a stay with 4 pools, there is only one.
The other pool is in the hotel across the street, you have to cross the road.
You have to walk, walk, walk, walk.
The clientele clearly leaves something to be desired, arguments every night.
Reception staff not welcoming at all.
Lounge chairs squatted at 6 a.m. without ever seeing anyone.
It was a disaster.
A catastrophe.
A shame.
€3800 for 1 week, we were robbed!
Dirty glass
No spoons at the restaurant in the dishes, you have to serve yourself with a fork
We always eat the same thing and it’s disgusting!
My family got sick without even touching the water!
Number of sick guests looking for medicine…
Lots of dirty places but people were regularly passing by to maintain the visible parts, the toilets were disgusting, never any toilet paper
Dirty tables
Anyway, horrible vacation because of this establishment and our travel agency!
The positive points: the cleaning lady was unforgettably kind and the entertainers are adorable and always smiling
They save the day…
I could write a book about this hotel because we were so disappointed

Avoid at all costs, what a shame.

Very well located near everything but a downside, the buffet is disastrous, lacks cooking, repetitive, a huge line to get served.
Regarding cleanliness, nothing to say, it is clean. Regarding the activities of the place, it remains good but the instructors leave something to be desired, except for 2 or 3 people.
At the bar, you get the impression that you are bothering them constantly, we ask them for small doses of alcohol, they don't listen to anything and the icing on the cake, the lady who takes care of the Jumbo or Fram club, if you don't need anything, go see her, and I was going to say if you want a lounge chair, put your towels on it during the night, and the beach bar is useless because it's not fresh and the server is on the side constantly smoking, I strongly advise against this place and go see the Sultan hotel which is not far away.

Mixed

I spent 10 days at the Dar Kayam hotel (2 adults and 6 children).
We had an overall decent stay at this hotel, with good value for money, but unfortunately several points disappointed us.
On the positive side, the rooms are decent, the beach is very pleasant with its lounge chairs, and being able to enjoy the water park is a real plus. The pizzas were also very good. Regarding the meals, even if they lack variety, everyone can ultimately find something they like.
On the other hand, the major negative point remains the hygiene in the restaurant. The chairs seem rarely cleaned, the placemats are very dirty, and the whole place really lacks cleanliness. It is also sometimes difficult to get cutlery and glasses. Why not simply leave them available for guests?
Another point that particularly worried us concerns the water served in the restaurant. Some servers confided in us that, on certain occasions, tap water could be served even though it is not potable. This is a point that really deserves to be clarified and, above all, corrected, because it directly concerns the safety of the guests.
We were also quite bothered by the behavior of some vacationers: a lot of waste left on the tables, children pushing others at the pool or cutting in front of everyone, without the parents intervening. Obviously, this does not fall directly under the hotel's responsibility, but it can unfortunately have an impact on the stay experience.
The entertainment team does its best and remains friendly, even if we found it not very engaging. On the other hand, we found the front desk staff particularly unpleasant, which is a shame because it is the first impression you get upon arrival.
Overall, a decent stay for the price, with real assets like the beach and access to the water park, but also hygiene and service issues that deserve to be seriously improved.
Good value for money, but for my part, I will not return.
