Fab Family Break

This was our 3rd visit to Fourwinds and we will be back again next year. Debs, Hannah and Andy are all really friendly and helpful and the site has everything we need.
We took out paddle boards and had a great time on the river, then had a big game of cricket.
Perfect place for a relaxing family break.

Fantastic camping ⛺

This is a lovely friendly campsite, clean tidy and lovely staff.
Lots of familys having fun, which was great to see.
Me and my son enjoyed fishing in the river and watching people using the kayaks and the paddle boards.
Definitely will be returning.

Not fishermen or women friendly

My wife and I booked a two night stay at fourwinds campsite. Upon arriving we were greeted with a warm welcome. We even asked to move allocated parking spots which wasn't a problem. Had a great first night stay. Mobile pizza van serving excellent pizzas. The site its self is great, very clean toilets and showers with a laundry and wash up area as well. There is a private garden area that you may sit and enjoy the site. Situated on the banks of the river nene the main aim of our stay was to go fishing all day on Saturday. There were a few families there enjoying themselves. It wasn't until I started fishing when all the fun started. Paddle borders kayaks kept surrounding me where I was fishing. Some young girl kept crashing into my rod. Bearing in mind there is enough room for both fishermen and women to share the river with the paddle borders and kayaks. Their parents couldn't careless about anyone else enjoying themselves as long as there kids were having fun.
A member of staff came to place a kayak in the water so I confronted him. Only for his comments fishing is for early morning and late afternoons and he likes to see everyone having fun.
Well as a fisherman I like to sit there and unwind watching the wildlife. I was also catching perch late morning so so much for his last comments.
Fourwinds is a great place to stay as long as you dont like fishing.

We are so sorry to hear that your fishing was disrupted during your stay. The River Nene can get very busy at peak times—especially on warm weekends with families out enjoying paddleboards and kayaks. While we aim to foster a shared environment where all anglers—both fishermen and fisherwomen—can enjoy the water alongside other activities, we completely understand how frustrating it is when watercraft get too close to your line and rod.
As a site proudly owned and run by two women, creating a safe, friendly, and welcoming space for all our guests—whether they are fishing on the banks, relaxing, or taking to the water—is at the heart of everything we do. We really appreciate your feedback, and we will be sure to remind all visitors using kayaks and paddleboards to be mindful and give anglers a respectful amount of space.

Really good experience

We stayed a couple of nights in the shepherd's hut, which was comfortable, clean and well equipped.
The owners are very friendly and helpful.
We had a great trip in one of their canadian style canoes, down the Nene to March, which is a 2 hour round trip.
The on site flower meadow was lovely too.
