Great place to stop over and explore the Northumberland National Park. Very pet friendly accomodation and bar. All staff were very helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed the evening meal.The menu is vast and caters for all dietary needs. Large portions and very tasty -compliments to the chef. The inn has a really comfy cosy atmosphere and we had an amazing view from our room. The breakfast was very generous with great service too. Highly recommend.

Stayed before loved it clean quite place. little village not so far away , very good meals very nice staff

Loved this hotel and its location. Stayed in the garden room which was great with a dog. Right behind the hotel were fields and a river where we enjoyed lovely walks with our dog. The owner, George, and staff were very helpful. We ate in the pub because of the dog which sometimes was noisy but a minor thing overall. Would definitely stay again. Cragside was very close well worth a visit.

A super holiday

Just spent a week at this super pub. Had a wonderful time. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom excellent. The breakfasts were amazing. I had dinner every evening, the meals were all delicious. The menu is extensive and interesting. The staff were all brilliant, helpful, friendly and so good to my dog. I especially liked the bar as there was no television and people talked to each other. Very refreshing. Fabulous atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and return. Also in a great spot for walking.

Great couple of visits.

We visited a few times whilst staying in the village.
We had a Sunday dinner which was fantastic (gravy to die for) and another visit we had the Cumberland sausage and mash. Both times food was lovely and customer service was really good
We were made to feel very welcome and it was a relaxed atmosphere. Could do with a few more IPA’s but other than that, would t hesitate to visit is ever in the area again.
