Simply brilliant! What a gem amazing rooms, fabulous American diner and incredible staff. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The hotel was clean and styled beautifully. Staff were very friendly in person but the communication with the hotel prior to arrival was difficult and I received conflicting information about check-in times

We stayed at Mollie’s Motel Oxford for two nights to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, but unfortunately the trip was overshadowed by one major issue.
The air conditioning in our room (59) didn’t work for the entire stay, and we were told the whole floor was affected. With very warm weather, the room was unbearably hot. As the hotel was fully booked, we couldn’t move rooms. We were given a fan, but it simply blew hot air around. Our room also faced the evening sun, and the windows don’t open, so there was no fresh air. We appreciated the complimentary drinks and breakfast, but when you’re paying a premium for a hotel with air conditioning, you expect it to work. We had two terrible nights’ sleep.
Our TV also didn’t work on arrival, although reception fixed it promptly.
There were plenty of positives. Every member of staff was friendly, especially Rodney in Mollie’s Diner, who was incredibly welcoming. The beef burger was excellent, the hotel and rooms were spotless, and everything felt modern and well maintained. The app is brilliant too, with live chat, phone room key, TV remote and easy, reasonably priced EV charging.
It’s a real shame because I specifically chose Mollie’s over other hotels in the area. Despite being in a fairly remote location with very little within walking distance, it looked by far the best hotel locally and that was the deciding factor. Sadly, the broken air conditioning completely ruined what should have been a relaxing birthday getaway.

Cannot recommend this hotel enough! It’s clean, modern and the staff are friendly. It was very inexpensive (may not be all the time but we got a great deal) so honestly I really shouldn’t complain. I really liked the idea of having a water tap (hot and cold) in the hallways. I greatly dislike drinking water from the bathroom tap no matter how many times hotels say it’s safe. So this is a great way to avoid plastic bottles and kettles. Food is at the American diner that’s part of the hotel. You have to pay separately but it’s fine. Only thing though, there was some weird noise (maybe very loud music or someone hitting a wall?) very late in the night so I guess the rooms are not as soundproof as they ought to be. But with great AC, a comfortable bed and a huge bathroom, it’s still a great room.

The motel was fine. Beds comfortable, well stocked rooms, quiet even on the main A420. Reception were helpful and knew their stuff. The diner not so great for us. Suited more to younger people/families. I understand it's based on a US diner but it could have benefited from a more UK perspective.
