Good hotel for the cost

Hotel located near the Punta del Este Shopping. Almost in the middle between the Mansa and the Brava. The rooms are a bit small, clean and tidy.
The pool sector is wide, with a place to sunbathe around. I was surprised by the heated jacuzzi that was next to it and in which I had a good time.
Breakfast quite complete and varied. All staff friendly at the time of a question.
A small issue is that (unless you have a car) it is a bit far from the beach and also from Gorlero in case you want to walk along the pedestrian.
I think rooms needs some improvements, the carpet for instance because of the smell and the lock of the door need fixed right now.

Nice hotel but strange service

The hotel is beautiful, and the receptionists are divine. Super attentive. What happens with this place is that the owner who comes and goes every day is abusive and violent. He yells at his employees for anything. We asked for a knife so we could cut a pizza we bought, and we heard telling the girl at the reception not to give it to us. In reality, he was an unpleasant and very ugly person to see how he treated his employees and clients in that way.
I don't recommend the place.

Terrible Breakfast & No Service

We did not get the legal tax discount of Uruguayan government in this hotel. During our trip in Uruguay this was the only hotel not giving the tax exception for tourists. So, if you think that you will get a tax discount in any other hotel you may go to a hotel which is %23 more expensive than this hotel and stay for the same price. That enables you to stay at an upper class hotel for the same price.
The rooms have carpets on the floor which has a bad smell.
There was no safe in the rooms, the furniture was old, not taken care. The door was not closing well.
The breakfast really poor. The only cheese in the buffet was not tasting like a cheese.
There was tee bags, but no hot hot water to make tee. There was no one to give hot water.
So, what they call as breakfast is just something to eat.

Good location and great service

We found this hotel in short notice after the apartment we had book and paid was cancelled. It was high season (new year's eve) and managed to find a room in this beautiful hotel. It is well located in the Peninsula, close to the mall and trendy restaurants. It´s no walking distance from the beach but you can pay a taxi or even take a bus nearby.
The staff is super friendly and hepful, and everything is delicious including the breakfast.

Good for the cost!

Very inexpensive with clean functional small rooms. This is an older hotel with basic rooms. Bed was comfortable, there is a decent size mini fridge in the room, small flatscreen tv, and small clean bathroom which looks to have been redone with a blow dryer. Excellent free wifi which allowed me to watch some streaming videos on my iPad. Included breakfast was not too extensive but certainly sufficient. I paid just over $50 a night and after my first night extended my stay for a third night. Five minute walk to the Punta shopping mall and less than five minute drive to the beaches. I don't speak Spanish and the staff I encountered didn't speak English but I managed to get by. Rooms have a/c but I did not need mine as it was the beginning of fall and room was comfortable. Hotel has a small pool and limited parking in front which could be an issue during the busy season. For the price as compared to other hotels in Punta del Este this place was very good!
