Beautiful little apartment near centre of Split

Lovely little apartment in a nice part of Split, not far from centre, but away from the madding crowd. Beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. Lovely host. Only drawback would be for people who don’t like steep steps - which was not a problem for us. Highly recommended.

Overnight stay only

Do not be fooled by the photographs shown because they are not a true reflection. The bedroom is dark and dated with a large bed but uncomfortable pillows , the bathroom is very small with mouldy tiles around the shower. And the outside steps leading to the apartment are steep and narrow and if you are in the top apartment then you have a second set of inside steps which are narrow and very steep, so heavy cases will make it a struggle. It's in the old town so the location is great , it's in a quiet area , the host was lovely and if your staying overnight with not much luggage then this place might be fine

Superb Experience and Accomodation

Brankica is the perfect host.She was helpful with directions prior to arrival. Very happy greetings when I arrived at the guesthouse. I was given a thorough tour of the pristine premises. Delighted to find that that there was an excellent kitchen facility on a communal balcony as I had only booked the ensuite room option. The shared balcony area across two floors commanded spectacular views to the Croatian mainland, where I spent much time.
The cleanliness of the facility is superb and you will often see the staff if you require any advice about the beautiful Island of Brac.
Importantly I was told of a clinic in the town of Supetar which provides PCR tests if you require one before your flight home from nearby Split Airport.
Six minutes from the beach with plenty of amenities in the various supermarkets if you are preparing meals. Ferries to and from Split depart/arrive approx every 90 minutes throughout the day, and there is a regular bus service to Bol and its famous beach on the other side of the island.
I fully intend to return soon when the opportunity presents itself.

A real gem

A delightful apartment in one of the side streets. Very steep steps up, though these add to the charm, and once inside it is really clean and well maintained. Beds were so comfy and plenty of space to unpack everything. Kitchen had everything you could possibly want. Fresh towels provided. Bathroom was fine; it is small but then this is an apartment not a house! Less than 5 mins walk from the seafront so you can’t really go wrong. Used the taxi driver from the airport who was really friendly. Apartment payment is cash only so be prepared for that and it is great value for money. Would come back and stay here again very happily.

Quaint, Comfortable, Quiet and Clean, Clean, Clean!

If you are looking for swanky bathrooms and hi tech kitchens then this is not for you. If you are looking for a homely, super clean and comfortably appointed appartment in an ideal location - then this IS for you. Beware if you have mobility problems as the stairs are challenging but there are handrails which assist access - I have minor mobility problems but as long as I didn't rush and watched my step I had no problem at all. Mrs A (who does not speak English so brush up on your Croatian and/or hand gestures) is a wonderful host. She is welcoming, caring and leaves you to it. There is a lovely little outside space - just enough to perch on the stools provided - drink a beer and watch the world go by (although it is VERY peaceful despite being only 5 minutes from everything you came to Split to see, buy, eat). Private outside space in Split is rare as the majority of accommodation is located in historic residential buildings, clustered together in tiny courtyards off tiny cobbled streets. The kitchen is comfortably appointed with everything you need and you are provided with kitchen roll and tea towels. Mrs A will pop round with more loo paper so don't panic if you are running low. You also get fresh towels during a 7 day stay. The beds are the most comfortable I have slept in away from home. You also get two pillows (English type rather than the long sausage ones). I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone. Mrs A will also arrange for a taxi to meet you at the airport. She uses the same chap who speaks excellent English and will charge you 270 HRK (about £35 ish).
