Excellent

Excellent hotel with nice breakfast and very kind staff.. Especially the girls who work for breakfast, perfect service..

Luxury hotel? Not

Very central hotel and well-kept in its decor, unfortunately not all that glitters is gold…… cockroaches in the bathroom are right at home. The receptionist apologizes but it seems it is normal. Normal? Maybe in her house it is normal. The maid (poor thing without a mask) for the umpteenth time sprays some insecticide and leaves. Do you know disinfestation?
So much for the luxury hotel

This is a mixed review. The hotel itself is in a perfect location. The breakfast was fine, and the young ladies who worked the breakfast buffet were wonderful.
We knew we were getting a small room, it was a last minute booking. And, we expected to be a little cramped. The furniture was too big for the room. We had to bob and weave to get by each other. The 2 bedside plugs stopped working, we reported it but nothing was done. It seemed to us that the reception staff pretended to care but I think it was just a show. The internet was very slow, we asked about it and we were told they would look into it…nothing was done. The shower was horrible, poorly placed shower head.At one point I went down to ask for a bucket of ice (which they DID provide), but couldn’t find anyone. I finally found the young man about 20 minutes later, in the back, kicking back!
The evening reception (older gentleman) was very nice and did give us a late check out…but he forgot to inform the day reception…so we got a call asking us to vacate.
If you book this hotel avoid room 109. We saw other rooms of the same size and those rooms had nice furniture and those rooms felt roomy. We could not change rooms until the last night (we were there for 9 nights), but we thought that was just a waste, so we didn’t move rooms.
Good location, bad room!

Terrible experience, one of the worst

It has only the price of 4 stars
There is no parking
The rooms are not soundproofed
There is no pool
The reception is always empty
The breakfast is meager and of poor quality
They do not have a vacuum cleaner or hoover
They sweep with a traditional broom on the carpet
Extremely high cost, it is a decent two-star
Run away

Great stay - made all the better with the service from Nikolas

We stayed at the start of the season and so there were inevitably a few niggles to over come as the hotel returned to life. However, none of these affected the stay - all of the rooms were superbly clean and maintained daily, with water refreshed daily in the room - great for when you had been out all day. The location couldn't have been any better. Right on the main square there was plenty of choice for food and drinks, also with easy access to the buses (we used two for excursions) and the seafront was mere metres down the road. All of the staff were lovely and pleasant, though I have to mention Nikolas (I hope I have spelt that right!) - he helped us really get the most of our week, helping us arrange a hire car, giving us insight on some unique places to dine but most of all, he rescued us. When one of our group lost their passport, our travel company were fairly slow to act and respond. Nikolas was helping us phoning the airport, the bus company and guiding us to the rep office. He managed to not only locate the passport, but he also arranged for its safe return. As an early riser, I went for an early morning walk pre-breakfast on routes that Nikolas had suggested and felt safe at all times, with the 24 hour receptionist greeting me every morning. I would recommend if you are a light sleeper, using ear plugs as it could be a little until the restaurants close in the evening, though after that, it was quiet - with super comfy beds! Overall, a really enjoyable stay and would definitely return (if I had enough annual leave!).
