Dreamy Crete

We stayed at the Paradisos for 3 weeks in July. Property managed by Katerina and Andreas, very kind owners who welcomed us wonderfully, making us feel at home. The property is immersed in olive trees as far as the eye can see. The apartments are located on both the ground floor and the first floor, all new, with a kitchenette, clean; ours also had a splendid terrace with a breathtaking view of the Libyan Sea. Opposite, a few meters away, is the delightful little beach of Orthi Ammos, which unfortunately my wife and I could not enjoy because access to the beach was difficult due to our mobility problems. A property that we highly recommend because it is the ideal place to spend a quiet and relaxing vacation. Besides the Orthi Ammos beach, which is not equipped, there is the scenic Frangokastello beach less than a kilometer away because there is a Venetian castle in the back, and the beach is partially equipped. Also worth mentioning is a more sheltered beach when the Meltemi blows, and the Meltemi does blow, about 13 kilometers from the property called Rodakino, which is mostly equipped and was not very crowded in July except on Sundays. Furthermore, about thirty kilometers away, for those who like a bit of activity, there is one of the most appreciated beaches in the southwest called Plakias. Finally, 13 kilometers from Frangokastello is Sfakia, where ferries to Loutro and Gavdos depart from the port, and nearby you can go hiking in the Imbros Gorge.

For me paradise

It really is paradise. Lovely place. Breathtaking landscapes. Small cottages a few meters from an amazing beach. Equipped with every comfort. Very clean. Friendly staff always available and discreet. Great taverns within walking distance. Perfect for those who love less touristy Greece and tranquility

We only stayed 10 nights: not enough.

These immaculate apartments are constantly being quietly upgraded. The latest gizmo is a concertina device attached to the balcony wall which is perfect for hangin washing on.
We stay here now every time we can get to Crete: hire a car locally and use it to visit nearby less-frequented beaches and truly Cretan tavernas.

Still :Peaceful and perfect

Been coming here ( on & off - covid) for over 20 years and love it. Family owned and maintained by the loveliest Cretan family. Beautifully kept and someone always around to help if needs be. Apartments are immaculate …cleaned snd new linens every 3 days.. perfect. Can’t wait for next years trip…..
