A Peaceful Retreat with Exceptional Hospitality — Hotel Yarab Tso, Leh
The family room was generously sized and comfortable — exactly what you need after long days of sightseeing at high altitude. But what truly sets this hotel apart is its people. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about making your stay special. A special mention goes to the owner, Mr. Stanzin, who is incredibly approachable and goes above and beyond — whether you need restaurant recommendations, help planning sightseeing trips, or just a friendly conversation.
The hotel sits away from the bustle of Leh’s main market, which is honestly a blessing if you value peace and quiet. After noisy days exploring the city, returning to a calm, serene environment felt like a real luxury. The hotel arranges taxis for guests, so getting around is never an issue.
One practical note for those with mobility concerns or anyone traveling at altitude — there is no lift, and climbing stairs can be quite tiring given the elevation. Though, they are going to install one in coming months.
Bottom line: If you’re looking for a quiet, family-friendly stay with genuinely warm hospitality, Hotel Yarab Tso delivers beautifully. If you prefer to be steps from the market action, you might want to look closer to the centre — but you’d be trading away something special.

Peaceful & Serene
The breakfast spread looked good however we stuck with toast butter & coffee. We spent our first day in the hotel acclimatizing. Had delicious Chicken Thupka Soup for lunch.
Mr. Stanzin's communication from the time of booking was prompt and I appreciate that. I had a lot of questions which were replied to immediately even though he had other urgent personal matters to take care of.
All staff were very helpful & polite. Arjun at the reception took care of our needs. Thanks to all of them.
I wish there was a lift/elevator as walking up 2 floors two to three times a day was exhausting.

Excellent place to stay
Attention to details was there. excellent housekeeping. They cleaned the room well and put new dry towels etc. I was VGF an and they took care.Very supportive and polite staff. V well located. Clean and disciplined.
