Chamber of horrors
We stayed fortunately only one night. The reception was well maintained and was very welcoming, but the room was the room of horrors. Who wants to sleep in dirty sheets, catch tetanus while taking a shower, here is in the right place. The mosquito net was broken and the hole had been plugged with a plastic bag. I wonder how such a facility can still accommodate customers.

Old Fashioned and Traditional
Only a stone’s throw from the small train station makes it ideal for getting around. From Certaldo you can get trains to Pisa, Siena and Florence.
Casa Gori is inexpensive and a little dated so if you’re looking for modern, it won’t suit you. It’s traditional with dated decor BUT very clean and fully functional. Showers are hot and bedding is clean and crisp. It’s situated on the main road so traffic noise can be an issue. Of course it goes quiet at night.
It is run by Mr Gori who speaks NO English, so have Google Translate handy when trying to communicate with him.
Breakfast is not on the premises, rather at any of 4 local cafes, all within a 3-4 minute walk. You receive a voucher from Mr Gori and take this to one of the cafes. It entitles you to a coffee or tea and a cornetto or pastry. Our favourite was the Jam Cafe which was 50 metres from Casa Gori, right by the train station. The pastries here were fresh and delicious.
To summarise, Casa Gori is budget accommodation but done well!
We would stay again.

Dissatisfied
Although I must admit that the location is not bad, the structure is really old.
The rooms are exactly like the structure. Parking is available if you have a smart or car of that size.
But what I liked the least, after paying a sum for nothing cheap, is the fact that the breakfast, which is done in a nearby bar, includes only a cappuccino and a croissant. If you don't take that, the rest you pay.
