Authentic, bougie, beautiful.
But, on entry, we were delighted to see the 17th century building in all its glory.
Beautiful rooms and decor and really friendly staff.
Breakfast was lovely and was in a great setting.
We could watch the boats float by and watch people on the busy street below.
Would highly recommended the hotel.

Terrible experience with night staff
The stay started lovely, all staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were nice despite being very small, but for a short stay being on my own could not fault that.
Breakfast was basic but handled very well, facilities clean and night.
Night shift was a bug disappointment; I specifically asked if the downstairs door was opened aroud 6 am and I was told it would be and that the staff would be there “all night” so I didn’t worry; gave myself half an hour to arrive at the vaporetto stop that was a 10
Minutes walk from the hotel and went to bed.
Only for the next morning to find out that the front door WASN’t open; the button that unlocks the door didn’t work and Staff was nowhere to be seen.
A number was left to be call at reception, I did call only to find out that it was the night porter number and he was comfortably asleep at the loft of the hotel when he meant to be working!
Obviously until he woke up and opened the door, I had already missed the vaporetto and the next one would be in an hour time which would have made me miss my flight.
Staff didn’t even bother to help me to
Re-arrange transportation to tbe airport, nor even gave me a number for a private taxi; apparently he was too sleepy to care.
The name of this staff is DANA/Daniel and it ruined my experience as I had to run like crazy and spend over 100 pounds to get into the airport on time to catch my flight.
You should not allow your staff to be paid to sleep on shift; this is outrageous!
