Pathetic

2015 the place was heaven for my one night stay i felt to be home thanks for good everything was perfect. Last time 12/4/2017 things were not good at all, please check on your customer care, your breakfast is the wast, towels in the rooms looks like rags not for someone health, stop knocking on visitor's door by confirming the arrival and departure of visitors it rely pissed me off. Housekeeping should stop shouting at visitors when they get no response from the door knocks. I hope some good changes are coming soon.

Hotel has bedbugs

I checked into this hotel in April and i was shocked to find bedbugs in the hotel. This facility has been run down. The door had a broken lock and this made the matter worse. I do not recommend this hotel. The towels were dirty. The wifi does not connect

Budget

stayed here during the weekend from sept 18th - sept 21st. price was good. i loved the breakfast there. the hotel is at the city center hence easy to get around but the early mornings were noisy from the hooting of buses and the loud churches around. i was in room 408; cosy and comfortable. i enjoyed the hot shower and everyday room cleaning services.
during shift change among the kitchen staff, let the nightshift chef be there when the day one hands over duty because it gets hard to get food when the kitchen gets closed as we wait for the night shift chef to arrive. altogether, the staff were friendly, one even offered to take me to a neighboring restaurant to buy food since it was getting dark. Had a good stay and saved me from spending alot.

How much do you want to save money?

We all love saving, sure, and I'd thought a few nights at Hotel Barkley wouldn't be so bad because the price was so right. But I couldn't spend another night here after failing to sleep because of the noisy bus park outside my window (it really is that bad) and being made to feel like I was a burden to the hotel staff. People at the reception were clueless of pretty much everything I asked. Nearby supermarkets, where I can change money, closing time of local eateries - nadda.
They called me a taxi one day who was just as clueless. I couldn't eat the breakfast. The "fresh juice" tasted of Tang. The cleaning was as if they had someone malicious doing it - deliberately poor. Wifi only worked for a few hours in the middle of the night. Anyway, just accept that it's that cheap for a reason.

Perfect Money Saver

Stayed here for a few days before going on holiday so needed something reasonably priced and easy to get around town. Hotel is good for this and has good wifi. Placed near a matatu stage so noisy at night and not too safe to walk on your own after 5pm.
Staff were super friendly and helpful, one staff member helped me to order takeaway and get a good deal on a taxi to the airport.
Breakfast was filling and delicious.
Great city stay if you need somewhere reasonable and easy to get around.
