Lovely room, lovelier owners

Our stay at Nine Streets Inn was everything we expected, on the good note.
The owner was very kind and hospitable, super considerate of our requests (e.g. make the room available earlier) and very easy to communicate.
The Room is not very big but was more than enough for our needs, clean facilities and large bed. Check-In process was quick and easy.
Location is absolutely excellent and you can easily get to pretty much anywhere by a short walk or tram ride.
Highly recommended for couples stay in Amsterdam.

Amsterdam visit prior to a Scenic river cruise

Location is very central however very steep steps. Micheal was a friendly guy who went out of his way to help us.
Would be a challenge for someone with mobility issues.
Nice and clean and only 2 rentable rooms. We had the one at the rear which was quiet but the room at the front could be noisy.
Restaurants bars and tourist attractions at your door step.

Fantastic base to explore this wonderful city.

A wonderful base to explore Amsterdam. Spotlessly clean. Michel, our host, could not have been more helpful. Very comfortable bed. Complimentary coffee. Quiet location. Ignore the unhelpful 1star reviews here - appear to have been made by one elderly couple who clearly did no research. There are steep stairs, but honestly, it’s fine! Great little area - lots of boujee shops, nice breakfasts and eateries. Will come back to Nine Streets Inn. Highly recommend.

Great stay, great location

We had a fantastic five night stay at Nine Streets Inn. The location is excellent, the room was spotlessly clean and well appointed. There are 2 rooms only and the host Michel lives downstairs. The instructions for finding the Inn and accessing the room were very clear. Michel made sure he greeted us and made it clear that he was available to help us at any time.
We had a great stay and will return if we are ever in Amsterdam again.

Not as promoted. Perilous to get to room.

We booked this room based on the review from Booking.com. We expected it to be one flight from the ground level which we could navigate. However, arriving at 10:30 PM, there was no one there and only a door code sent to us by the “manager”. We were horrified when we entered the building and found a very narrow, winding staircase that had several landings to get to the room. We are elderly and my husband nearly blind, with no depth perception. Given the late hour, we had no choice but to try to make our way up the stairs. A kind guest in another room helped me get my husband up to the room. There we found only a window which would open four inches for ventilation. The was a small bottle of hand soap but no other showering supplies The street noise from the convenience store across the street was substantial until it closed at 2 AM. I called Booking.com and explained the situation. They said they would refund us for our second might’s stay but charge a cancellation fee. We agreed and left very early the next morning for another hotel. In order to get my husband down the stairs, he had to go down one step at a time on his backside. It was very dangerous. I brought our luggage down one piece at a time. Booking.com will not refund us for the second night now PLUS they have charged us a cancellation fee. I have submitted credit card receipts to Booking.com several time and had multiple conversations. Both Nine Streets Inn and Booking.com have made this a very unpleasant stay in Amsterdam.
