My experiences

Nice room. Little bad washhead in the shower. A little low temp on the water. Otherwise happy with everything. Been by another room that smelled tairesturant. You know that fries oil smell. I think it sits well in the walls and not something you get rid of easily. But as I said, my room was good!

Control away – dirty, tiring and poor service

The stay at Thon Hotel Linne was unfortunately very disappointing.
The biggest problem was the standard of the room. It was clearly characterized by dust, dirt and general wear. For me, who have allergies, this was especially problematic, but no matter the level, this is far below what one should expect from a hotel in this category.
In addition, the service was weak. When I took up the problem and asked for a room without carpet, this was met with a little accommodating attitude. The employee seemed abandoned, avoided eye contact and seemed uninterested in helping. The message I received was in practice that I could pick up my things myself, then he could “fix something”.
As a Gold member of Thon+, it is also disappointing that no member benefits were followed up.
Overall, the hotel appears to be both tired and poorly kept, with a service level that does not meet the goals. This is not a place I would recommend – there are far better options.

Showing its age: needs a facelift.

Usefully located for central Oslo if using the metro. Expensive hotel car park but very little on-street parking. The hotel is rather shabby and in need of renovation to bring it up to modern standards, eg not enough sockets in the bedroom, we had to plug extension leads into extension leads to be able to use the bedside lamps and charge our phones. The furniture shows serious signs of wear and tear, the fridge barely cools at all and the wardrobe is in the bathroom as there is not enough room for it in the bedroom! Reasonably quiet, but inadequate internal noise insulation. Excellent breakfast, however, and most of the staff were helpful. OK for an overnight stay but not much more if you have a standard room.

Holidays 2026

We are from Germany. The staff were always very friendly, patient and helpful! The hotel was perfect for my wife, who has mobility issues.

Conference trip

impressive despite the hotel being on strike. The food was great, at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Really happy!
