Careful hosts, simple place and without much isolation from the neighbor and the pipeline

It wasn't very cheap, but it was good for the location. The place is well preserved, with good cleanliness, but it is older with all infra already punished by the time.

Absolutely excellent

I rarely leave reviews but i wanted to make an exception here. As others have noted, the rooms are clean, spacious, secure, and comfortable. The double bed was excellent and the air-conditioning and bathroom facilities all top-notch. It is located in a colourful but lovely neighbourhood. I wanted to add something too about the host. When i got there Jorge was very friendly and helpful, happy to spend time talking with me, recommending to me a truly excellent, cheap and delicious local restaurant. Toward the end of my stay, I had a miagraine and had to take to my bed. Jorge asked after me and offered to go to the chemist in order to pick up some asprins etc. He even tolerated my terrible attempts to speak to him in Spanish. His genuine kindness and consideration to his guests is really, greatly appreciated.

Very good

Very kind host! They helped us with Very good tips about the city. So we eat good food, we went to good places, and that made us happy by visit this beautiful city! Thank you again, and I hope to visit you again!

Quite nice

Thanks hosts for our stay.
We asked for 2 separate beds, but only room with 1 bed was given. This time it was not critical, but if I had arrived with friend, I wouldn't appreciate such approach.
Only 1 set of keys was available and every day when I returned to the hostel I couldn't come in easily, because nobody was available on reception.
Also,there is no place to dry clothes after wash or sea. Wi-fi connection is bad in the room.
The room is clean and neat.
Hosts are very friendly and helpful.
The street is quite noisy, so it's hard to sleep with opened balcony door.

Excellent Stay in Central Barcelona

After having a few problems with our trip to our hotel, our hosts were amazing and super helpful, pointing us in the right direction to solve our problems and generally being friendly and thoughtful people. Our room was incredible, clean, spacious and with a small balcony looking over the street, it truly felt like we were living in central Barcelona. The shared toilet never became a problem and the already mentioned thoughtfulness of our hosts meant we were never afraid to ask questions or get help in finding places, though with location the Hostal was, this was rarely a problem anyway. This was a really great little place to stay and my girlfriend and I were really impressed. If we ever come back to Barcelona we would definitely book this place again.
