Comfortable room in walking distance to the train & bus station of Malaga
A great place to stay for a few nights (or just one as in our case) very conveniently located near the Malaga train station and bus terminal. Also, we could walk to a restaurant area close to the seaside in the evening and there are plenty of different shops and snack options close by. Our late check-in was not a problem and the room was fine for a short stay and everything was clean and in good shape. A small seating area in the lobby offers a bit more space if you don't want to leave the hostel. We could also have left our luggage after check-out, but as we were continueing our journey we did not make use of that offer.
For a longer stay, the space in the room would be a bit limited (e.g. just a small folding table), but it was all as described and a very good budget option for a triple room.

Pessima! / The Worst In my Life!
I have traveled a lot, but I have never had such a negative experience.
Upon arrival I found dirty towels, one even stained with blood. During the following nights I could not get any sleep due to constant noise: alarms, bathroom pipes from the next room, loud television.
The worst happened on my last night: when I returned to my room, I found huge cockroaches, even on the bed. I called the emergency number provided by the hotel three times, but no one ever answered. Past midnight, desperate, I had to leave the room alone and find another hotel in the city center, paying extra costs for both accommodation and parking, and losing my last night in the city.
On top of this, there was a complete lack of communication: none of the staff speak English, forcing guests to use a translator even for urgent matters.
A traumatic experience that ruined my trip. I would never recommend this property to anyone: poor hygiene, no assistance, no professionalism.
Avoid at all costs.

Clean hostel very close to the stations
It is a hostel with a private bathroom in the room, so a little expensive, but still clean and with comfortable beds.
Very close to the bus and train station, very useful for those traveling in Andalusia.
Spacious and clean bathroom, small room.
Friendly staff, they even kept our bags for us after checkout while we visited Malaga until the afternoon

Pleasant hotel, convenient location for travelers
We chose Hostal Tilos for an overnight in Malaga due to its location – few minutes walking from the main bus station and Maria Zambrano railway station (the metro station is also there). We were not deceived and while passing Malaga again we’ll consider staying there once more.
The room presents a good standard for such hotels: it’s of decent size, with a big and quite comfortable bed (with the bed linen and towels provided); there’s also a wardrobe and a TV, the room is also airconditioned. The bathroom, with a bath, is clean and modern. In general nothing serious to complain about.
There’s no any bar in the hotel (just a vending machine), but there’s a shopping centre Larios few minutes away and another at the Maria Zambrano station, while there are more shops and bars on the nearby streets.
Upon arrival the check in was quick and without any problems, the check out as well. The staff spoke English. Planning some sightseeing before leaving Malaga, we left the luggage at the hotel, which wasn’t a problem.
Taking into the account the standard of the hotel there are two things that we can complain about: one is that there’s no any desk or table in the room, so if e.g. someone has to work or write it may problematic. The other is that the door to the room are not sound proof, so everyone can hear what happens outside. Fortunately there were no people making noise at night.
As for the location one can consider that if comes by car then it may be problematic to find a parking place nearby, while walking to the centre takes more than 20 min.

Lovely little hotel
We spend 1 night here on the way back to Malaga airport. From the moment we arrived we felt at home especially when in was 40c outside & the reception was beautifully air-conditioned. Our room was spotless the bed was very comfy with crisp white sheets. The bathroom had a fab walkin shower, shower gel, shampoo & lots of towels. Although the hotel has no bar/restaurant it does have the cheapest coffee (very nice) & vending (water/drinks/snacks) machines I've ever seen they were as cheap as buying from the shops. There are also several really nice cafes around the hotel for breakfast.
I would definitely recommend the hotel for its value for money, quality of service as well as its proximity to the bus & train station which are both only minutes away.
