Oh, this little ‘ol corner of the world? Yeah, epic. You’re basically a local by now… but there’s always something new around here, so make sure you let us fill you in on even more secret spots when you swing back in.

Room wasn’t ready waited to 5pm
Didn’t even offer late check out as a option ( check out is 11am)
For a hotel that charges rates similar to your top hotels was disappointing.

Impersonal, noisy and not worth the money
TLDR: disappointing, and not worth the cost.
While the design of this hotel is lovely, and the location is excellent, overall we were disappointed with our experience staying here. Service is impersonal, limited and actively discouraged.
Before we arrived we clearly requested a quiet room, because we were visiting Melbourne for work and needed to sleep. Imagine our surprise when we were placed directly opposite the hotel's bar which operates as a nightclub blasting doof doof music directly towards the rooms adjacent until 1am. The noise was so extreme we could hear it through ear plugs. When I emailed to advise management of this issue, there was absolutely no accountability taken, no apology, nothing. They literally could not have cared less.
This speaks volumes about this hotel. It's all very lovely to look at but beyond that it's pretty shallow.
Other things to consider: there's zero ventilation in the bathroom area, so after a 5 minute shower every surface and everything on it is covered in steam that takes at least half an hour to clear. Like many hotels the lighting situation is terrible (for people who want some decent lighting to put on make up for example.)
Will not be returning and do not recommend. Which is unfortunate.

Outstanding experience
We held a community event at QT Melbourne and were absolutely blown away by all staff we encountered right down to the maintenance guy. The event was a huge success, the catering was delicious and plentiful, the intimate atmosphere was perfect, the professionalism of the events team at QT was outstanding. We stayed in a corner bath suite and loved every detail. The bath bomb ws a great touch. We can not wait to come back. Thank you to everyone at QT for such a fantastic weekend. Our guests will be talking about this for years to come.

Different to usual hotels. Sparky vibe but no diminishing of service. Breakfast was well organised with a good choice. Very helpful, friendly staff.
