Nice view and location, good value for money

The hotel was nice with a friendly host. The room was nice enough. The best part was probably the roof terrace. It offered great views of Tiblisi. Value for money was good with this hotel, good location too. Breakfast was not for me, but there are many nice coffee shops nearby.

A disappointing experience – lack of hospitality during a difficult situation

We stayed at Tbilisi Magnolia Hotel and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing.
We made a mistake while booking the dates through WhatsApp communication. Our reservation was accidentally made for 21–22 July instead of 20–21 July. We understand this was our mistake. However, the circumstances of our arrival were extraordinary.
We arrived in Tbilisi at around 23:15 on 20 July after travelling from Svaneti by minibus and train. At that exact time, Tbilisi was experiencing extremely heavy rainfall. The roads were flooded, transportation was difficult, and many people at the train station were trying to find taxis or transportation while getting soaked by the rain.
After a stressful journey and an unpleasant taxi incident, we arrived at the hotel completely wet and exhausted. We did not expect a free stay or special treatment, but we expected basic hospitality and an attempt to find a reasonable solution.
Unfortunately, the reception staff and the hotel representative we spoke with were not helpful. The communication was focused only on the hotel's interests, and there was no effort to understand our situation or find a compromise.
The next day, although we knew the official check-in time was 14:00, we arrived around noon after having spent the night without our luggage because of the previous night's problems. Despite rooms being available, the staff again showed no flexibility or understanding. After a long discussion, the check-in process was finally completed.
The most disappointing part was not the booking mistake itself, but the attitude towards guests. Hospitality means finding solutions, especially when travellers face unexpected difficulties.
We have travelled extensively and stayed in many hotels, but this was one of the rare occasions where we felt that customer satisfaction was not a priority.
We hope the management reviews the way guests are treated and improves communication and service standards.

The shower temperature was lukewarm and the shower water leaked through the door, making the bath mat soaking wet. It was a shame because the interior was stylish.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. We booked this hotel for our family, but after checking in we realized that the room conditions did not match our expectations or the photos. We were so uncomfortable that we had to book another hotel the same night and leave.
As a result, we paid for two hotels for the same holiday, which was a complete waste of money. After a long journey with a child, this was extremely frustrating.
I honestly cannot believe this hotel has a 4-star rating. Even the duvets were stained. When we reported the situation, the Hotels.complatform was unable to reach the hotel, and despite the issues we experienced, no refund was provided.
The overall condition and comfort level of the accommodation were not acceptable for us. We would not choose this hotel again.
