Good city hotel

I spent one night at the Scandic Nürnberg Central and was very satisfied. The former Maritim Hotel was completely renovated and has presented itself as modern and freshly renovated since its reopening at the beginning of 2024.
I would especially like to highlight the breakfast buffet: a very large, diverse selection – I can highly recommend it. The location is excellent, right by the pedestrian zone and only a few minutes' walk from the main train station. The hotel's own underground parking garage is practical, although it does cost extra.
Conclusion: A successful fresh start for this traditional establishment – I would be happy to come back.

very good, centrally located city hotel

the hotel is super centrally located and can be reached on foot from the train station in just a few minutes. We were very satisfied with our room, it was spacious and had a very good bed. Unfortunately, the price was significantly inflated due to the Rock im Park festival, which leads to a one-star deduction. Otherwise, a clear recommendation!

Extremely clean room, with enough space to move around in. The decor of the hotel is very nice. The hotel is very quiet, and they had popcorn at the reception desk for guests. I wish all hotels were like this.

Excellent breakfast buffet with juicer, delicious shrimp
Cocktail, cakes, Kaiserschmarren etc.
super clean and spacious room, with windows that open for fresh air. Great location near the train station and downtown nuernberg.

Excellent value for spotless, modern, conveniently located hotel. 5 min walk from train station, 3 min walk into Old Town from underpass right outside from entrance, or 1 block away from bridge into Old Town - you can walk everywhere. Staff was courteous/helpful and they allowed us to store our luggage, as we arrived before check-in time. We traveled as a family of 3 adults, 2 teens so we booked 3 rooms. Clean, big bathrooms, plenty of space. Cons: It was a VERY HOT August and the A/C in all 3 rooms on the 5th floor was not cool enough. The kids' room located at the end of the hall actually blew warm air from the vent, so the accommodating front desk cheerfully moved them to the 4th floor and that room's A/C seemed to function sufficiently . Wish we would have moved the other two rooms as well for our 3 night stay (got a bit sticky/uncomfortable). We did not use Pool/Spa (plenty of other of guests were utilizing though) but were informed there is a single 10 Euro charge per room, per total stay for its use. The elevators get busy, and you can wait 4-5 minutes just to get to the lobby.
